2 of their "bench" shouldn't be bench..
Lou and Harrell are way better than Shamet and patterson.. so that's kind of a misnomer | Tru dat but still...... we need more firepower coming off the bench. |
Kuz will help out.. but he's streaky also.
Rondo will help out with limiting the turnovers as well.
we are still 1 player away.. IGGY would be amazing.
he can guard kawhi and hit the 3. |

that gives me comfort until I realize that PG didn't even play. |

While I would have liked a win, this truly means nothing.
My biggest takeaway is Green. Even if he only averages half of what he had tonight, that is a big time get. |

If PG had played they may have looked as out of sorts as the Lakers did tonight. They’d be incorporating two guys instead of one. He would also take shots away from their other guys so there’s no way to know how those would’ve gone. He could’ve spent most of the night trying to find a rhythm and they wouldn’t have gotten those big runs.
Hopefully we see an improvement next game. When LBJ and AD stopped attacking rom the wing and started trying to force the ball inside it fell apart. I think they need to go back to that. _________________ Never stop Believing!!! |

All in all, a great battle to open the season
But the refs ruined the game with a lot of momentum changing ticky tack fouls favoring the Clips.
We’ll see them soon |

The Lakers "Big 2" with only 11 points in the second half, with Davis completely shut down.
As another poster said, what we saw tonight is a staple of a Lebron team, except Lebron is no longer playing in the East. Long season ahead. |
What happened all the beautiful ball movement we saw in the 1st quarter and preseason.Way to many ISO's to Davis the Clippers were sending a second defender every time and no one's cutting.LeBron shouldn't be bringing the ball up the court.Rotations looked just like Walton's.Javale disappeared.Very disappointing. |

That line up with Cook/Troy/KCP/Dudley/Howard is just not going too work... That line up lost us the game. |

We looked worse than last year and that's saying something. Aside from better shooting we looked afraid to attack.
AD looks soft to me, highly unimpressed. Looks like a stat stuffer and not somebody playing to win |

No, what we saw was a new team. 9 new players that have never played together. New coaching staff figuring out what rotations work best.
What we saw is a clippers team that already has chemistry and already has a system. They just inserted Leonard into it.
As expected, the clippers are going to be really good. Let’s not act surprised folks.
The Lakers need time to mesh.
This actually was a great way to start the season..
Gives them a gauge of what works
Not crying over this. I agree with most comments here. This team will need to figure things out and they will.
Keep in mind, it was game 1 |

Exactly. That’s jumping ahead. Shaq was 24 and Kobe 17 when they joined up and they had the great Phil Jackson coaching them will amazing role players.

The way I'm going to spin this is that we miss Kuzma, and I prefer PG13 on the court taking shots away from the more efficient Kawhi. |

Round 1 to the Clips; 3 more battles to go. The coaches need to make a few adjustments and we will be just fine. Bring on the Jazz & Hornets!!!
GO LAKERS! |

I'm not getting my hopes up about Kuzma. He's way too streaky and doesn't bring anything on defense. I look at his return as having one more dice to roll. You don't know what you'll get. |

I'm not comparing their careers.. I'm saying that they just both can't have off nights because they're our duo. Kobe and Shaq were our best players back then and when they both had bad nights.. we lost. |

Fact is the Lakers were out played and out coached. Sweet Lou got his revenge. Hopefully Rondo's return will allow LeBron the freedom to play less point. _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

I think most teams whose top 2 players have off nights generally lose |

FYI: Lakers celebrate championships; Clippers celebrate meaningless wins.
Clippers guard Patrick Beverley was fined $25,000 by the NBA for throwing a game ball into the stands after the game.
