AD gets you Giannis, Jokic, kind of talent.

Ok, just for IG, I will bite
How about Chet+jalen Williams +3FRP (clippers ones first) |
Why would you want to trade AD? Please do not say to continue to build around James?
It should be the other way around. Lakers should be getting Davis the help he needs. Even if that means moving James.
Best thing that could transpire this summer is James and his buddies are in Paris coming up with ways to play together. Lakers getting a couple players and picks for James would be a best case scenario. He gets to relocate on his own terms, Lakers revamp their roster around the best 2way player in the league. |

I cant imagine D'Lo's intangibles being any worse than "champion" JR Smith. |
The Lakers are relying on DLo far more than those Cavs relied on JR.
If the Lakers only relied on DLo and AR to have role player-like roles like JR, they would be great for the Lakers. |

Imagine if the support can play like that in every game against DEN?
AD and LeBron have played well in nearly every game I've watched from them this season, including this series.
They're playing too well for me to want go away from them, despite the mediocrity these last few seasons.
It's the supporting cast, it's always been. The main supporting guys disappear at inopportune times and can't play defense.
Despite the solid season numbers, the Lakers really tanked at the times they have slumped. The Lakers were bad at the beginning of the season during the AR and DLo slumps respectively. They got into a 3-0 hole because they didn't play well.
They aren't bad players, but the Lakers need better and more consistent. And ff those players could also play defense, maybe the Lakers could even survive slumps.
That's the thing. When they're bad, they're giving the team NOTHING. |
Agree but IMO, AR is more far more good that bad. Even on off nights he gets down hill and hustles. D'lo is either a great, good, or terrible. True feast or famine type player and bc he doesn't do much on the other end and when his shot isn't falling, it's not pretty.
Also, Rui was a major disappointment this playoffs - on both sides. I guess nobody expected him to become elite but not underwhelming after closing the season so well.
Vando's loss and Gabe giving nothing was a major blow. Indy really eff'd us by giving Bruce Brown double his value just to turn him into a trade chip. |

If Bucks wanna blow it up this offseason would you take Middleton and Portia package for Reaves, Gabe, Rui and #17 pick? |

Looking toward the future, Trae would would work well with AD and Bron.

He is also physically beat up and has missed a ton of games recently. I love Portis and he would be a GREAT addition. |

You can quibble about who's a little better than who. But they all fall into that category at the end of the day. Rui is probably even a level below that.
These guys aren't playing the exact same roles, but these guys should be more JR Smith, Kyle Korver levels of importance to the team if the Lakers are actually are going to win. They shouldn't be relied upon like Love.
It's even more than that considering LeBron isn't in his prime anymore and AD isn't the same kind of scorer Kyrie is. |

Lakers primary objective in the off-season if they aren’t blowing it up is to get more athletic. We just get out-athleted when Rui/AR/DLO are out there. And Lebron plays tired a lot of the time. |

If we're looking to make a deal with Milwaukee, the move is Vincent for Portis. Ironically, Bobby talked about wanting to play for Darvin this past summer. Maybe you offer to swap #17 for #23 to balance value. Portis can space, rebound and switch, making him a very good compliment to Davis and LeBron up front.
Milwaukee need defense behind Dame after dealing Jrue. They're already a repeater tax second apron team next season with both Beverly and Beasley hitting free agency. _________________ Austin Reaves keeps his game tight, like Kobe Bryant on game night. |

I don't even want to think about other moves until the Lakers aren't relying on AR and DLo to be the 3rd option anymore.
You makes moves at the top first before you plug in smaller roles.
The Lakers have played solid defense for the most part, IMO. They haven't scored a crazy amount of points. The Lakers just haven't put up enough points themselves.
The Lakers have 2 of the top 4 scorers in the playoffs.
The likes of Bobby Portis and Alex Caruso can wait. |

Can we sign and trade Dlo to Indiana (or 3rd team) for miles turner? Maybe we add a first. Is this possible theoretically? _________________ Billions Billions Billions |

Would've been possible pre-Haliburton era. He fits with Hali playstyle well and pretty sure he's happy over there now. |

Agreed. We need to lean into our identity as a fast-breaking team while also bringing in perimeter defense. We could also use a PF/C off the bench who is a lunch-pail type player and loves to throw his weight around on the boards but can still run.
Look at how the Showtime Lakers kept bringing in long, athletic guys who could run, like Byron Scott and A.C. Green. We need to do the same. We're a fast-break team, and we must double down on that. _________________ Lakers 49ers Chargers Dodgers |

Dlo/AR/Rui have worked out pretty good so far. Those guys won a lot of games in Feb/Mar/Apr, beat the defending champs leading wire to wire in game 4 of the playoffs, and positioned themselves to have a lead at halftime in all 4 games. If it is shown that it’s not enough…down 1-3 I get that it looks like it…then tweak it but build off the success, don’t throw it away. I’d like to see if the Lakers can add to the success instead of subtracting from it. _________________ “When it looks as if it is a realistic possibility, I want to focus on winning a ship like it’s a goal that can’t be denied. I didn’t see that this off season.” |

I think you might have to. Would be worried about defense, size, and depth but offensively, good luck to all trying to stop it. The story alone is must see TV. |

No.
Didn't the Suns just getting taken out show you for the 20th time the "3 star no depth" strategy means nothing in todays NBA? _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:
