Dan Wicke asked Coach Ham that and Coach Ham gave him a very I'm avoiding this question answer. He basically said he doesn't know because he's not a medical professional and deferred to the medical staff.

The cynic in me feels there is something weird going on between AD and Bron. Like was AD upset that Bron was planning on sitting again and letting him do the heavy lifting? So he decides, "well, I'm sick too, if he's not pushing through, I'm not pushing through." Lebron was late cause he found out AD wasn't going to play, and he wasn't too sick not to play after all. He dresses up and did pretty well. So even if AD was a go, Lebron wanting to sit out was lame. He only played because AD didn't go. Strange night.

On a positive note Jack-in-the-Box still gave out coupons for free tacos to everyone in attendance.

Fishy fishy, probably concussion

Didn't even make sense. A concussion is nothing like having a cold or the flu so just which is it like come on. Does he have a virus-type illness or not?!

If it was just a cold or flu, ham probably would told the reporters. I firmly Believed that AD had to feel terrible for him not to play this game. I think they suspect concussion, but not serious enough for protocol? It was probably more of the hit on the head in oppose to the eye

We know that

so those are two prototypical symptoms of a concussion. What we are talking about is the fact that they say he's not in concussion protocol but then Coach Ham also wouldn't just straightforward answer the question of if he has flu like symptoms like LeBron. He danced around the question. And it's like so what is it ???

I'm still very bothered that Bron was going to sit if AD was a go. It doesn't make sense when these games are so important. He ducked the Warriors too after the all-star break.

Well we don't know that he wasn't going to play until he heard AD was out for sure. That's just speculation although it makes sense.

So actually kind of the way the timeline of how information came out was first thing that came out was that LeBron wasn't even at the arena at all and he didn't participate in practice and all that stuff in the morning. So this was about two hours before the game (this is all in the injury thread). so then an hour and a half after that is when they finally came out and said that OK AD is not playing. And then about a half hour after that they said LeBron still isn't in the arena he's gonna be a true gametime decision. So 45 minutes before the game he arrived and when he was asked whether or not he was going to play he was like we're gonna find out so that's when he went and did his warm-up and stuff and decided that he could go.

Can't expect to win a high stakes game with LeBron or AD out. Once AD was out that was it.

When Draymond Green goes 5/7 on 3s, it just isn’t your night. Warriors are cooking. CP3 with their 2nd unit means there offense just keep on chugging even if Steph/Klay are off.

If Andrew Wiggins wasn’t such a bum they’d still be contenders although the one team they can’t beat is the Nuggets

Pretty safe to say they would have won these games if AD had played but if they had taken care of just a few of those ugly games early in the season, this wouldn’t have been a problem.

These games have also shown that the margin for error on this team is very large. No AD, Rui & D’Angelo had awful games, and the Warriors were making everything from 3 and instead of being a blowout loss, this was a 2 possession game with a lot of time left.

Against Minnesota, a top team in the west, they had no LeBron, AD missed 3 quarters, and Reaves and D’Angelo played possibly their worst games of the year and the Lakers still had their chances in the game.

You bring up our main problem. This is why I keep saying the nasty truth is that Lebron is no longer capable of being a 1. He doesn’t have that consistent impact anymore.

The fact that the lakers have been above .500 without him shows that they have a really solid supporting cast…this is not the Russ era.

Davis is fine as a #2, but he is a ticking time bomb and it always seems to rear its ugly head near playoff time. It’s not a coincidence, teams purposely hit him knowing that’s one way to get a game changer off the court.

Bron2AD and the other Lebron Stans from the first few pages are threatened by the truth. They are fighting this battle of there is no one left to blame:

First it was Walton, then baby lakers (Ingram, Randle, Clarkson, etc.), then it was Vogel, then their handpicked “3rd star” in Russ and now it’s a combination of Ham/DLO/Rui/Reaves.

It’s 100% obvious that our 1/2 are losing their battles with the other 1/2s. So long as these our max stars, we will never crack the top 6 in the conference over 82 games. 3+ years is enough of a sample size.

But the Lebron stans feel cornered/threatened so they trying their best to find the next scapegoat(s).

Highest in an NBA game in history.

We need a coach that teaches players how to defend the 3.

Sick of it.

And this wasn’t the Detroit pistons they played against. Everyone in the world knows how warriors attack, and we weren’t even prepared…

We are never prepared with brainless Ham.
Tired of this fool.
Vogel was better.
Brown was better.
D’Antoni was better.

Could say Walton was better.

Hate Ham.

Yet I can clearly remember when us "fans" demanded the firing of each of those coaches. As they say, be careful what you ask for.

That wasn’t a hangover. It was a war crime against basketball by Darwin Ham.

He went all in on TP and Cam Reddish and we paid a huge price.
