1-18 in his last two games
Would like to see Ham manage the kid’s minutes. Have to think that ankle is still a problem. _________________ Darvin |

He looks a bit tired to me, especially the second game of the back to back in florida. Still adjusting to the nba grind. |

I think you're right, many of his shots were short. |

If this was a 'normal' season, those kind of games would be perfect to polish a rookie into a seasoned player, but sometimes we expect a bit too much from our min contract players....
Keep up the good work HBK! |

I'm not so sure it's because of lack if stamina. Last season he averaged a little over 23 minutes/per game. This season, he's around 29 minutes. That's only an increase of 6 more minutes a game. I believe it's his ankle. He came back pretty quick, after turning it pretty badly. I give him props for playing tough. But, it's clear it's affecting his game. _________________ ZOOM!!!!!!!!!!!! |

Really suited as off the bench guy rather than a starter... I prefer him off the bench.
Nice bounce back game. Needed it. |

He’d be better suited as a DEpth guy. If we had better starters right now, he plays well in any lineup. |

Hopefully it means his ankle is now close to 100. He probably came back too quick the previous couple of games. |

Not sure what makes people think he's just a bench guy.. I mean I know you don't mean it in a negative way, but IMO he very much looks like a starting quality guard on any level team. Phil Jackson would dream of guy as a triangle PG. |

As of right now, he is not a starter quality guy... He's very good off the bench, which is not a negative knock on Reaves. Which contenders you see Reaves starting for? Fact is he will get run off the court vs top tier starting guards. He is a quality off the bench guy, which is not bad thing. He's a borderline starter on this team, because our roster is just not that good. Do I prefer him starting over PatBev? Sure. Do I prefer him starting over Walker at SG? I would say thats 50/50, depending what you value more.
Too bad I don't know any teams that still run the triangle offense. |

Do you have data to back up "hes better off bench"?
He had 1 bad this whole season after he tweaked his ankle where he was playing next to Bev-Dennis |

Mention 3 guards scoring 10+ ppg on insane efficiency, with such low Usage coming off the bench. |

Reaves I think is part of a long-term answer. We don't need him to be a superstar, but we do need quality role players. His offense, although not consistent, has improved, and likely looks better next year too. We need quality role players and if we can lock him up at $10 million a year, I think we do it. Odds are better for him than they were for THT, who could not shoot beyond his driving layups. _________________ LAKERS 2019-2020: NBA World Champions! |

Not on this team sadly.
It’s inevitable that this organization will let everyone go this off-season in pursuit of a “3rd star”. |
We dont have cap space for a star. |

Asking how many teams would start him is a flawed exercise. Every team is differently built. Atlanta, with Murray and Young, obv are nots starting him, The Spurs, otoh, likely are. And before you say they're not contenders, neither are we. But to answer the contender portion, I'd think Bucks would start him over Allen. I think he's every bit as good as Derrick White if not better already. Suns have a great backcourt. So do Warriors. But again, contenders are contenders because theyre built well. Not a single contender would not not make him parts of the rotation. |
