Combination of many things.
But I still want Lebron playing.
Imagine the same team but Lebron replacing Pat. |
LeBron doesn't play defense. I'd rather have Pat than Lebron in that area, unless Bron figures he wants to play defense and not hold the ball for 15 seconds, before passing it for a desperation shot. |

1. We haven't played good teams. we are beating teams we should beat.
2. Lets face a quality opponent without Lebron first.
3. As much as people hate on Lebron the truth is. We ain't going nowhere if Lebron isn't playing. That is to say making some kind of push into playoffs and making some type of noise.
This suns game without Lebron will be interesting. I see us having about 5% chance of actually winning that game. Lets see what happens. |

Guys do stand around and watch Lebron when he has the ball - which is most of the time |

LeBron should park himself down low sometimes like an old school pf or be a cutter and let HBK facilitate. This team needs variety when he’s around not just him pound the ball for 20 seconds |

LeBron’s ego won’t allow him to take a back seat while AD puts up MVP numbers. LeBron will have to attempt to assert himself to feed his ego, and it will be at the cost of overall team performance. |

How many years has he been the second leading scorer on his own team during his career?? Let’s see how that works out. |

There is a little bit of discussion here and there in this thread, but I'd say the vast majority of the comments fall into two camps:
1. The posters that like to take a dig at Lebron who are using this thread as a hook to take another dig at Lebron..
2. The people who are saying you can't draw any conclusions based on a few good games against a few terrible teams. |

How many times has there been a better scoring option?
I'm far from a LeBron apologist or even defender. Truth is, I can't wait for him to be gone and we can start anew around a guy like Luka, Ja, Tatum, etc - or at least find our own version of those guys. But I think claiming his ego won't allow him to let AD be the guy at the cost of team performance is shortsighted and not accurate. |

The last time it happened, the Lakers won a title.
19-20:
AD: 26.1 points, 3.2 assists, 9.3 rebounds, 1.5 steals, 2.3 blocks
Lebron: 25.3 points, 10.2 assists, 7.8 rebounds, 1.2 steals, 0.5 blocks |

2019-2020 season
AD - 26.1ppg
Lebron - 25.3 ppg
Now both of you are wrong.... |

His shooting regression has really hurt us so far
If he can get back up to 33-35% from deep, then we'll be in a decent spot |
Agreed. I also think he’ll need to adjust his pace/ rhythm as well. In his old age he likes to slow the game down a lot. This team is not really built to execute well in the half court |

If you really think that, you should go to Vegas and make a killing, because NBA oddsmakers give the Lakers a 35% chance of winning the game. |

This reminds me off all that Kob talk in how the offense stalled with him in the lineup completely ignoring the walking mismatches these dudes are when it really matters….not in mid November against lottery teams. |

Why are you highlighting terrible posts that deserve bans? |
Why you lowlighting this thread with your terrible posts? Ban your posts from all other threads and go back to living exclusively in Bron’s thread till his career (and your tears about him) dries up. And while you’re at, try to get a better understan’n that our posts are actually complimenting Kob.

Maybe we should be notating how oiled up our opps are before facing them. _________________ Not familiar with the salary cap/CBA rules & how it impacts our Lakers?

This is an excellent clip supported by pod discussion.
It’s not rocket science. Playing the 2 man game with AD is the key to this team’s success. It’s a great point that it’s hard to defend with different looks whether it’s Lonnie, Reaves, Dennis or Russ. Then you can hit the open man. Thomas Bryant has always been good at the PnR game too and can cover in those supporting minutes.
AD, AD, AD…he’s the key. |

AD is the key, we feed it through him. We don't stop giving him the ball in the 2nd half. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:
