Lonnie is too streaky for folks to eat crow.
I would expect fans to admit he's better defensively than Monk at least.
Not a high bar, but folks were making it seem like Lonnie would be horrible. _________________ ππ π π π #18!!! |

I never saw him play much before and didn't know what an incredible athlete he is.
I didn't really talk sh*t about him... but I wasn't thrilled to see another non elite shooter join the team.
Now that I've seen him up close, he's very impressive.
I hope we don't lose him like Monk. |

Γs someone who watched him from the University of Miami to San Antonio this is not a fluke!!This guy is the real deal just severely under the radar. To say Lakers got a bargain is an understatement! |

If Walker/Bev/Brown/Lebron starts shooting close to their career averages from 3... This team will put some major win streaks together. |

Great game from LW4. At first I was somewhat down because the Lakers let Monk go, as I thought he was a great fit and the best shooter on our team last year. I wasn't so high on LW4, however he's proven to be a good find.
He has a very high skillset and is a flat out baller!
He has a relatively smooth game, nothing is ever forced always within the flow of the offense. We definitely don't beat the Pelicans without his 28 points as LBJ and AD, although they had good nights in the numbers column, LBJ seemed a little off this game.
Good Stuff! |

Good MLE signing. He's still growing as a player. There will be peaks and valleys with him. The upside is evident. Hope DHam can help him realize his potential.
He's gonna make Pop regret giving up on him. |

He's a better fit than Monk.
Monk was an offensive spark plug for sure, and better shooter, but an utter liability on defense.
Lonnie is at least 6'4 and has insane athleticism and gives effort defensively. Better signing. With non-Bird raises though, the most we can give him is something like 7.77m next year (IIRC 120%). _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

Next year the Lakers will have $30 plus mill in cap space.
Assuming now this whole thing with Kyrie is done, the Lakers can actually use that money to sign on role players like him, Troy Brown Jr and others. _________________ Darvin Scam: https://media.tenor.com/images/3c15249955860a4b16b59e8ae035fb75/tenor.gif |
