Pelinka is not a builder GM.
He keeps changing the team instead of developing players.
He gives up first round draft picks like they are worthless.
He keeps changing the team each season going in a different direction.
If the elder Buss has seen this he would be unhappy. |

Does the significant cluster **** that the Russ situation further impact Pelinka’s reputation? Or has he taken his hit, and now this is encapsulated as a player driven issue? _________________ Austin Reaves keeps his game tight, like Kobe Bryant on game night. |

Rob seemed to build a team that assumed it would have Kyrie/Joe Harris or Seth Curry.
We are just devoid of knock down shooters. Our best 3 point shooters are basically Nunn (last time he played), LBJ (he's an average level 3 point shooter), and Damian Jones (?). Swider obviously but he's on a 2 way deal and could be a defensive liability. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

And then when the going got tough, the Tuff got going. 1st pick wasted.
But don't worry, he had his Buddy all lined up until Lebron wanted his buddy. And what did Rob the GM do despite reportedly being cold on the Russ deal? He gave Washington 2 championship role players, a full MLE 6th man of year, and another first just because. Oh and that starting PG/SG on the finals roster, he just let that guy walk over a few million bucks because he thought he had the cheat code with his finally formed big 3.. and "possibly the greatest collection basketball talent ever" with his Geezer squad.
The problem with Rob is both big and small. He misses small things like the way he structures rookie contracts. But on a more macro level, there is literally zero plan. Every summer Rob swings wildly in the opposite direction than he did from the one the season before.
2019- playmakers and young legs all around LeBron baby.
2020- we need the fun guy babyyy. No fun guy? Okay shoot let's build a big team full of role players with defense, shooting, and IQ.
2021- we won the gold star title, let's change things up in a drastic way and go smaller but with some bigger names.
2022- Run it back with depth? Nah we're back to star hunting. Russ + the local retirement home should be enough.
2023- "we wanted to get younger" but still no shooting or defense or size on the wings.
Literally, ZERO long term planning or vision. How does Jeanie not see this. |

Since 2017, he's won more chips than:
- Riley
- Ainge
- Morey
- Marks
- Mitch
- Rose
- Pritchard
- Presti
- Oshey
- Frank
. . . et. al.
In fact, during Rob's tenure, only Bob Myers has won more rings . . . and Bob inherited a team with Steph Curry & Klay Thompson.
Did dude mess up with WB? Sure - but NONE of us know the parameters, whether it was a power play by Klutch or a measured decision by the FO, or if marketing (Jeanie) wanted another big name. Did he win in 20? Yes. Was the team in position in 21? Yes, until AD went down in the playoffs.
I remembered you bashed Rob in summer 2019 for not delaying the AD signing to create more cap room - called him ignorant, a noob, didn't have a capologist in the FO, etc. Then Rob turned around and cut some innocuous dude no one knew he had signed, created the space he needed and got everything done for us to win #17 (18, actually).
You may not like his methodology, but the guy is a competent, experienced professional. _________________ On Lakersground, a concern troll is someone who is a fan of another team, but pretends to be a Lakers fan with "concerns". |

Jeanie knows nothing of basketball and doesn't have someone who does by her side.
Imagine asking Jerry West for an opinion. But we're asking Kurt Rambis for an opinion. |

Pray that without trades, Nunn-Reaves-Bron-AD-T.Bryant can be above avg shooters and open up the offense, otherwise AD gonna play in the mud again |

You know what a legit exec do…create a title win-dow. Not a won&done. It’s why folks shade our bubble title. You wanna prove that the 4 month COVID pause button on the season had nothing to do with our title run, then come back and try to defend the crown. The quick turnaround from 2019/20 to 2020/21 dethroned us, but were we right back to contention for the 2021/22 season? Nope!
It’s a gawddamn tragedy that we haven’t exploited Bron for more deep tithe runs during his time here.
As for my criticism of Rob in 2019…yeah, I still stand by it! He prematurely dumped assets for the 2018 & 2019 cap plans. He did that, all while striking out on all but Bron in free agency. Here’s thought…maybe lock up the target first before taking a hacksaw to our cap sheet to create that space. Miami didn’t have cap space in 2019 & 2021. They got commitments from their FA targets and made it happen. They continue to be a threat out East and are in the running to keep it going by being in KD talks. They didn’t burn assets to get there either.

You just contradicted your own argument.
Rob put together a squad to run it back in 2020-21 and they were right there until the AD injury.
Do you fault Meyers for Dubs going to the lottery after their 2019 Finals appearance? Of course not - Seth/Klay got injured after deep playoff runs.

. . . and won the CHIP! They were on a chip trajectory even before the bubble (had just worked the Bucks & Clips). Clearly, his plan worked despite your objections.

They were right there? What at the starting line? The race is to the Finals and we were right there at the 1st round. Really?! So I guess the dubs were right there too has they beat us in the play-in tourney.
And since you brought up the dubs, the had deeep tithe runs from 2014-2019 #Win-dow
Meyers gets an out for that alone. You want to give your guy Rob one for a won&done during a COVID outlier. Really?!
So what did Meyer do when the dubs got healthy and gained assets in the lottery during those couple of down years? Got right back to winning, while #2 Wiseman and #7 Kuminga stay on the roster to develop or wait to get dealt for another sustainable win-dow.
What would Rob have done…probably drop those assets for a quick fix. #2 Ball gets used as trade fodder to salary match for AD, when we had the cap space to absorb most of AD’s deal into. #7 RFA Jules gets renounced/waived for cap space gone unrealized. Really!
You really need to understand the difference between longevity and brevity.

Fire Jeanie. She kept Jimbo for too long and now she's keeping Rob for too long. She has no idea how to evaluate people so her approach is to just trial them and see. Have to see it to believe it. |

Rob reminds me of myself when I play NBA2k and I accidently press the wrong button during free agency and the players I wanted signed to different teams, so now I throw together a bunch of players I think might work. |

The Busses should contemplate cashing out and selling the team while the valuation is above 5B. |

Myers started with Steph, Klay, Bogut, the 7th pick in the draft and a boatload of cap space when he got the job. It still took him 4 seasons to win a chip.
If you count Rob's start date as Feb. 2017 (under Magic), he started with Zo, BI, KCP, BroLo and the 25th pick in the draft. Won a chip in 2 seasons.
If you count his start date as April 2019 (after Magic was canned), he started with Bron, the Yutes, a lottery pick and won a chip immediately!
Context, son.
