Kuzma - Puma Clyde All Pro Kuzma
Austin Reaves - Rigorer War Ender 1
yeah, being a Lakers is way more global than being a nets, I mean I can't see those guys getting a shoe deal outside of Lakers |

KD still signed for $25m instead of I think at time he could have got around $33m. That is a big difference in what Kyrie would have to take leave to sign here. Neighborhood of $34-40 (if signs new deal) vs $6m Lakers can offer. So entirely different scenario and 100% won’t happen. Now he may opt in for his current PO and then request trade to Lakers. So then similar to KD where he may signed for a few million less than he was eligible for. |

All things considered, I agree with Andy Kamenetsky on this one. Kyrie likes basketball, but he just isn't that interested. If he had a choice, he'd work as a 1099 and not as an employee. I can't blame the Nets for not wanting to give him a long-term max deal. All of this other stuff strikes me as desperate attempts by Irving and his people to put pressure on the Nets to do something that they've already decided that they won't do. _________________ Internet Argument Resolved |

Kyrie is not someone I would like to have as a foundational piece on my team. This is such a shame b/c he is such a gifted basketball player, but oddly, he doesn't really seem to like playing professional basketball. I just don't see Kyrie/Lakers happening for a myriad of reasons, and I just don't want to go multiply our already considerable mistakes at PG (first and Green for Dennis, letting him go for nothing, then Kuz/KCP/1st/Trezz for Russ, and likely another first to dump Russ). _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

I don't like Harden, but he has shown a willingness to adjust his game. Having said that, the odds of Morey reuniting with Westbrook are right down there with some of the wackier ideas that get posted here. _________________ Internet Argument Resolved |

I agree, but I hear we don’t need another star. If his name was John Doe would his skill set make us better. |

Imaging signing 33 year old James Harden to a long term contract with his history of being out of shape and toxic in the lockerroom. |

It should be clear to teams now that the supermax concept failed. Harden, Russ, Wall, Dame, Gobert, all bad contracts. Steph, Embiid and Luka weren’t going anywhere. The one guy it might have kept in market is Giannis, and even that is debatable. _________________ Austin Reaves keeps his game tight, like Kobe Bryant on game night. |

I don't think anyone is wanting to sign Harden to an extension.
The question was simply a RW for Harden.
Any sane person would do it for a year. _________________ 💜💛 🏆 👀 🍖 #18!!! |

Agreed. DC is about to become the first team to sign two different players to the supermax. |

Yeah, but he's going to take Monk's role and do it a lot better (in theory). He'd not be here to be the guy he was in CLE or what BRK expects, but a 3rd option. He would thrive, IMO. No pressure, no expectation to carry the team each night. He can play 60 games a year and try to peak in the playoffs. Perfect fit as the same is what we expect Bron/AD. Probably the most dangerous 45 win roster in league history.
The real issue is that there's no way we would get Kyrie for WB, unless we added both our draft picks. Then, it becomes about is Kyrie going to make you that much better you win a ring with AD/Bron? In 2016-2018 this big 3 could have. In 2023? No way. So we shouldn't think about deals where we send 2 picks+WB to OKC. OKC sends assets to BRK and we net Kyrie. I don't think this is going to get us a ring the way trading for AD did. But we would be a lot better, and a lot easier for Ham to coach his new Bud inspired offense. |

Who is saying this?
It’s cataloguing our failed attempts at putting a PG around LBJ. No one denies Kyrie’s talent. It’s the headspace and whether the price to acquire him is worth it. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

Good lord. You really need to learn how to read posts before responding.
I said Dennis was a mistake.
So too was Russ.
And independently, I don't want to make another mistake chasing another PG in Kyrie (and likely having to trade the 27/29 1sts to do so).
Please read before responding. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

Just wait. He’s not washed up enough to be a Laker yet. Once his extension is in the books and he gets a little fatter/lazier/complacent then he is right now, the current front office and ownership will go after him. He is a big name “star” player after all, the type of albatross contract accompanied with underwhelming results that the current ownership and front office love to chase. |

Westbrook says hello. Playing for the Lakers can destroy your brand. We have fans here killing Westbrook as if he’s the reason for last seasons failure. If anyone believes one man was the cause then you most definitely want to stay away from Kyrie. _________________ Coach Vogel, Kidd, Hollins

That's a good point (not that I agree that Russ was good or that he was blame free). Kyrie cannot pull off what he's done at Boston and now the Nets in a Lakers jersey. He would be crucified by the fan base for his antics. I don't think it's a good match TBH. The glare of LA (Lakers) is much more than on the Nets IMO. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |
