Agreed.
This season was totally unwatchable for me!
Lebron & AD, thank you for getting us #17, but you both can go.
Westbrook, I will personally drop you off wherever you want to go outside of LA.
Let's get some younger, hungrier players and start all over. (Please more players like Reeves)
We are NOT getting anymore rings with Bron running the show. It was nice while it lasted.
I will personally also drop off Doc Rivers AND Mark Jackson ANYWHERE they want to go outside of LA!
Jeanie please stay 1000 miles away from Phil Jackson and his "advice."
Lakers are at the bottom looking a long way up right about now.
I have ZERO expectations for this team next year. _________________ Let them HATE so long as they FEAR! |

Young coaches know how to get their team to buy in, they seem to connect with players, I’m not suggesting that veteran coaches can’t do the same but if we tear the roster down I want a young energetic coach who will get the team to play with effort on a nightly basis. |
Helps to have young players who can play with effort and stay on the floor. |

It doesn’t help that the FO is in love with the idea of chasing names instead of targeting young athletic players who can make a big difference. |

Lakers need a "rebound" coach who will oversee years of tanking or outright sucking, or at the very least years of mediocrity... unintentional or intentional, it doesn't matter... Lakers will not content for the foreseeable future, barring some miracle free agent signing... not sure if that is possible with Lebron still with the team hugging majority of the payroll _________________ "Now, if life is coffee, then the jobs, money & position in society are the cups. I dont know if you are being serious but the Laker Jeanie disliked most was Van Exel by how he treated her as a player. |

I think you need younger players, but no young that they still have to learn how to win and also it should be a balance of vets and younger players.
Once upon a time we had that figured out in 2019-20:
Kuz was 23
Caruso was 25
AD was 26
KCP was 27
THT no a rotation player but was like 19
Lebron was 35+, Danny Green was 32+ and Howard/Mcgee in 30s.
Overall we had a lot of younger active players too. AD wins a title, he doesn't come back the same, but we keep some young legs with Dennis, Trez coming in. Then, this past offseason happens. |

Lakers severely need to re-set, rebuild a hardnosed culture/identity.
A culture of hard work, dedication, hustle and pride.
Far too many fat and happy, entitled players on last season's roster.
One of the most unlikable rosters in my lifetime due to those very reasons.
Get some young dudes in here who know what it means to get it straight from the mud.
That's the type of team I can get behind & be proud of.

I agree with you wholeheartedly, but why Juwan Howard? I mean do I like the Juwan and Rondo idea, but hypothetically, why just Juwan? |

Good (bleep) as usual, Rashard.
I’ll go with Ham as I think he’s the next in line in the mold of Lue, Monty and Willie Green.
Having said that, those 3 guys were given young, hungry rosters.
No one is going to win with the clown (bleep) we had last year. Like you said one of the most unlikeable rosters and they embarrassed themselves too. |

Why Darvin Ham? I haven't seen his coaching philosophy, what culture will he being, if he is good with X's and O's, how good of a leader is he? It seems people just want him because he is younger, not a retread, other's are saying they want him, and just hoping for the best because of it. |

Hes unproven but could have a lot of upside like Monty Williams. No other veteran coach on the market is worth it or better than the coach we fired. |

Honestly, what the playoffs show us again, you better be a healthy team.
That's greater than whatever coach you get.

It doesn't matter who coaches this Lakers team.
Look at the final 4 teams in the playoffs. All of these teams have three things in common; ball movement, proficient 3 point shooting, and solid defensive effort. And what are the three biggest weaknesses of the Lakers...ball movement, 3 point shooting and defense.
The games of Lebron, AD, and Westbrook are the polar opposites of what has proven to be the staple of NBA post season success. Lebron doesn't move the ball, Westbrook turns it over too much for any ball movement to exist. The Lakers have no one that can reliably hit the 3 point shot while other successful teams all have about 3-4 of these types, and these old ass Lakers aren't trying to play any sort of defense (defense is speficially why the Celtics are in the Eastern Conf Finals).
When we won it all 3 seasons ago, we had 3 point shooters. We had young guys that played defense. We had good chemistry guys in the locker room.
And we had a defensive minded coach. But now...well, you know the story on that one (thanks jeanie, phil, rambisx2, pelinka, klutch, lebron).
So guess what, Laker fans. We don't match up for post season success anymore, and we're locked into this f'd up team we got. So we can all expect more struggles on this Lakers team next season, and any seasons beyond until we change the core of this roster. And I don't care if you clone a younger Phil Jackson, no coach is going to fix this (bleep) show. |

Jason Kidd took the Dallas Mavericks to the conference finals in his first year as head coach. The Mavericks lost in the first round the previous two seasons, six of their last ten seasons. The Mavericks have not been to the conference finals since Jason Kidd led them as a player in 2011. |
