Warriors are loaded & have many options or can stay loaded!
Make this as short as possible. Jerry West had something to do with this period if not all, I’ve lost track of his brilliance!!!
To think GS has won Chips & hit rock bottom with injuries but still didn’t panic & give up youth & talent is amazing! They are in prime condition to regain their throne or be competitive over the next 5 years cause they have a REAL GM & NOT OTHERS TELLING THEM WHAT TO DO!!! Much like the many voices (friends, friends of friends, players, inside & outside agents steering them wrong & cheap owners pulling the strings!!!
WHO IS RUNNING THIS TEAM???
The Buss family needs to sell this team or unload all the Rambis’, Rob, LBJ & former Lakers INFLUENCES to REBUILD this team & go through the lottery process once again & get the RIGHT PERSON TO RUN THIS TEAM!!! _________________ My Laker squad.

Injuries similar to sas getting td was perfectly timed.
However, they have a top 3 guy. You take steph away they are lottery. Replace both bron and ad with steph and we are better.
The reality is bron isn’t a guy who carry us over hump and we entered season being told ad is top 5. Had rob known AD wasn’t a transcendent player he builds different imho. _________________ Kobe.

The Warriors were fortunate to draft a GOAT level player who no one expected to be a GOAT level player and who has stayed with the organization his whole career. Then they got lucky again when the huge increase in cap space allowed them to sign Durant.
I'm not discounting the great job they've done, but it's a little silly to think they have some kind of formula that can be replicated. Eventually, Curry will end his run, and, more likely than not, they will just be another team.
West hasn't been with the Warriors for four years, and Curry was already there when West became a consultant. How much of their success is attributable to him is anyone's guess.

Really tired of this GS narrative like they are some type of blue print on how to build a championship team. GS had some tremendous luck and fortune on how they got here now… Curry was about to be traded but was too injury prone early in his career. Because of that they were also able to resign him for cheap, which helped them land KD along with the cap hike. They were also trying to trade Klay for Kevin Love, but the Wolves decided to send him for the #1 pick Wiggins… KD then ends up leaving, and they got DRussell as a consolation price when the Nets didn’t have to. Curry/Russell duo didn’t workout because they can’t play D… GS then were able to flip Russell for Wiggins/1st pick. After KD left, they sucked and were a lotto team which helped them have all these young draft picks while still having Curry.
Despite all that they are a Curry injury away from being back to none contenders. One thing about GS is they have a system in place, but they can only maximize it with Curry on the floor… But the reason they are winning because they play both sides of the ball and can shoot the 3 at a high rate. But at the end without Curry that team is not going anywhere just like the Lakers are not going anywhere if both Lebron/AD is not healthy.

They went hard after Otto Potter... going to be nice for them.. only 28 yrs old and has a habit of shooting 40+ from 3 almost every season. Elite defender at 3 or 4. Yes he has been injured before but so has AD... we should of taken that risk and offered him all the minutes he wanted and twice as much money as GSW minimum contract.
There is no comparing GSW to LAL. Look at their record WITHOUT Klay and Wiseman.
#1 GSW owners allow the team to spend virtually unlimited. LAL didn't keep Caruso because of the budget!
#2 Their organization is flat out better - they have a better system, better coaching, and a better developmental program. Yes, their offensive system is built around the uniqueness of Steph, but they move the ball and it is just beautiful basketball. The LAL think if they've passed twice in one possession they're making the defense work, lol.
They are the best defensive team in the league, yet outside of Draymond, they don't have players who have a reputation for defending (until Klay comes back). That is called coaching!
They've been able to turn Wiggins into a productive piece. They get contributions from Jordan Poole and Toscano Anderson, they've developed those kinds of guys.
#3 They have a GM that actually knows how to construct a roster. Look at the players they've brought in this last off-season who are contributing - GP2, Otto Porter, Bjelica. Compare that to LAL.
#4 They have Kuminga, Wiseman, and Moody as young pieces that will help down the road or are pieces that have value and could be traded. Our most valuable young guy only has value because his salary is big enough to possibly get something back.
I don't know how much Jerry influenced the organization, but it is a much better organization than our LAL, unfortunately.

Lakers are 6th in spending, GSW are #1 with a $23m difference. The Bucks are the champs and are 7th below the Lakers.
The true difference is how the Lakers spent, not how much. Bad choices no back up for AD who has a history of injuries. We let Caruso go when he was a good piece of the puzzle, made another terrible choices by bringing in RW while selling out some pieces that were of interest to the team.
It’s not about he money itself, it’s how we’ve poorly invested it. _________________ Lakers need to build a freaking team !
Lakers have 17 chips, GSW 6. Lakers have ALWAYS built around superstars. They traded for Wilt to get them over the hump. They traded for KAJ. They found the money to sign Shaq. They paid Kobe before he could leave. They brought in LBJ. Result 17 championships and 6 of those since 2000. GSW have 3 in the same span. LBJ has more in that span than GSW. Lakers have more than ANY team in that span. Lakers have been in 17 of the past 41 finals. Bulls won 6 championships around MJ and haven't been back since. Rockets won two with Hakeem. Stars win championships in the NBA. Other than perhaps the Pistons upsetting the Lakers before Shaq left, I don't recall the last "team" that won without true superstars. GSW is winning because they have Steph and added KD due to a loophole
Lakers fans are so spoiled it kills me. Try being a Clippers or Kings fan.

Reportedly, Porter turned down the MLE because he wanted to play in the GS system and rebuild his career. I doubt there's an offer we could have made he would have taken. GS was a better place for him than LA.

I posted sometime ago about Porter. I can find it again if you want. They did not go hard after him, and we could not offer him twice as much. Why?
Because Porter made it very clear from the beginning to every other team that GS was his choice. He even accepted less to do so. He knew their style of play fit him perfectly.

Who cares about the Clippers or Kings! We've been to one championship in 10 years, and we want better than that! If that's spoiled, count me in.
Look, we're on the same side. I'm certain we're all in PAIN over the state of this team. You're right, LAL has always been about the stars, especially under Dr. Buss. Other than LBJ, the trades/moves you reference were not made by the people running the organization any longer, that's what worries me. What have Pelinka and the Rambi done exactly?
They have the 2nd or 3rd best player in league. If ad or bron was that we would be way better
Lebron is a top 5 player averaging (bleep) 50pts or whatever and we're still losing because we gave up our identity when AD got injured against Suns and Lebron was still healing from the ankle.
Stop acting as if Lebron isn't a top top level player. Steph wouldn't make this team better lol have you seen their roster as compared to ours?? Their roster construction is fantastic.
Our roster construction was made by Pelinka. I give Lebron and AD blame for WB. But Pelinka holds a lot of blame as well. You're the GM...Speak up you wuss.
I would love to see Steph playng alongside WB and a bunch of no defense chuckers. He'd collapse within 30 games.

Don’t know about the Steph and RW, but, Steph is a 3 point artist and RW is a slasher. That’s very different for LBJ is a slasher, THT slasher & RW slasher.
We needed ourside shooters so LJ could attack and dish but what we got was another slasher.
When Rich Paul & LBJ built the team that Rob blessed, we got screwed.

Yeah, that’s Rob being a friendly agent again instead of a smart GM.
He had a deal done for another shooter as everyone knows but listened to players. We coulda kept one or two players also. I blame Jeanie for not retaining Caruso & refusing to pay luxury tax like her dad did to remain a winner!

Yep. I'm a spoiled Laker fan too, but I don't want to "kill" you. But, still count me in as spoiled. I've been that way from the time I saw how we got Kareem, then Magic, then Shaq, then Kobe, then LeBron.....whose next?
Because we surely are going to get someone else after the current team runs its course. Spoiled I am!
Sad that Darius Garland who we were rumored to have taken with the 4th pick is balling. AD got us 1. Now we have to watch as our former players hit their primes start to run the league.
A Garland/Lonzo backcourt would've been sweet for the next decade but that trade did net them AD and a ring.

Pelinka should have said no and kept the Garland pick. When the Lakers traded Shaq to Miami. Kupchak asked about Wade, Riley said NO!
If Pelinka keeps the Garland pick, no need to trade Green and a 1st for Dennis. Westbrook would not be be needed, would still have the 1st and the 3 players traded. The Lakers would have probably resigned Caruso.

None of it matters if Curry didn't bounce back healthy and if Green wasn't still a defensive force. The real test for Golden State will come when those guys (and Thompson) are done.
But for sure, give the Warriors credit for doing a great job of building a roster around their stars. _________________ Internet Argument Resolved
