This team will probably make the playoffs.
It just won't win the championship, which was the whole point of this Frankenstein team.
team plays to the level of the competition.. if this team is healthy in the playoffs, they might shock the NBA. Plus, the NBA is so wide open this year
If we start beating the good teams... maybe I'll change my mind.
To be honest, a team as bad as the Lakers winning the chip just feels weird. Sure anything can happen in the playoffs, but I can't remember any championship team that won it all without being a good team in the RS
1988 Dodgers... Eli Manning's Giants?
Dallas.
2011 Mavs were 57-25, same as us but lost the tiebreaker and was the #3 seed. Hard to say 57-25 isn’t a good regular season team— same as the 2010 and 2008 Lakers. _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:
The game was more lopsided than final score indicates. Clippers controlled the entire game, every time Lakers drew close they hit timely shots to regain control. As painfully as it may sound, it was like an adult playing against kids out there.

Yeah… Felt like they were always in control, even when it was down to one. _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:

Clippers are well coached, when you look at there roster they don’t really have guys that make you say “wow” but they have some great cohesiveness that makes them compete.

Difference is that Clippers team can actually play some defense. Lakers are the complete opposite of last year's team. Offense is not an issue this year. Always been on the defensive side.

So is Kawhi overrated then? How are they still so good even without him? _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:

They have Paul George who Laker fans wouldn’t want to hear it but plays like a MVP candidate.

Part of it is that they have developed a system and have consistency playing together for quite few years. Problem is since Lebron came here, Lakers have pretty much did a roster overhaul each year. No consistency in our roster.

They're actually not that good. They're a .500 team. It's just that playing against the Lakers, a lot of bad teams look really good and the Clippers were no exception.
Detroit, Houston and OKC looked like decent NBA teams when playing against the Lakers so it shouldn't be a surprise a middle of the road team like the Clippers look like a championship contender when they play against the Lakers.

They aren’t that good. They’re a middling team that would go nowhere without Kawhi. Lue is doing a good job.

Lebron gets the blame for me. He easily could of taken on the task of shutting down PG13 himself just like he did in the last regular season victory we had against the Clips in the bubble (were he actually shutdown Kawhi and PG) or that March 2020 victory ( Clippers home game) before the world shutdown. An then on offense he settled for far too many low percentage jump shots. Down by 5 he destroyed Serge Ibaka with a drive to the basket which he could of easily done on repeat.
Sure it seems like asking our Legend at Year 19 to do too much but a totally different response from what we seen in Indiana a week ago and last night it was against the hated Clips ( next game against the celtics ) We won’t get an opportunity for revenge against the Clips until February.
Lebron was clearly upset with how the league handled his false positives earlier this week citing in his postgame interview it threw his rhythm off as he wasn’t able to do anything besides watch his sons play in their high school league games.
Clippers had that extra step and focus last night, city bragging rights is a big thing for them in recent years.. they might lay a stinker against the Kings tonight from all that effort they put into the game against the Lakers.
