For me, LeBron not playing would be a blessing in disguise.
Will the Real Russell Westbrook Please Stand Up!
He should be bringing the ball up setting up the offense and not have to defer to Bron. We should see if he's capable of doing what he was brought here to do. Rack up some Triple Doubles.
If LeBron doesn't play expect a loss. Westbrook is not ready for this yet specially against a team coached by Popovich.
In fact if LBJ doesn't play expect the Spurs to win easily.
Not ready for this! Are you kidding? Brook is a pro and it's his game. It's what he's been doing his entire career.
He hasn't been given a chance to showcase his wares. If LBJ doesn't play he won't be riding shotgun, he'll be driving, he'll have the wheel. Brook will be able to do what he does best, orchestrate.
I'm looking for an impressive win against a good team if Bron doesn't play. _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Kobe Bryant Ranks Russell Westbrook No. 1 In This Category>>
The video where Kobe says him and Russ share a lot of similarities.. lol .. first was he didn't smile much on the court either .. other Energy.. Russ#1
Time for Russel to snatch the keys and if LeBron wants them back, he will have to pry them out of Russ’s talon grip by returning to his 29 year old self. Step back LeBron is not going to be able to take the keys away.

I know I'm always getting on Frank but this is an opportunity to see what he has in Russell and give Bron a needed rest.

No point letting him play on a sore ankle especially this early in the season, now Westbrook will have the whole keys in this game to display his repertoire.

I'm anxious to see how Frank handles Bron not playing. I'm not a professional so what I offer is the opinion of an armchair coach. I'd give the reins to Russell and see where he can take us. His lineups and rotations will be of utmost importance. One thing fo sho, I'd give Melo more PT. I'll also be watching to see how Westbrook plays. I'm looking for a triple-double. The starting lineup will say a lot. _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Anything for soft Bron to sit out. This is cool though, we can see what will happen when Westbrook is behind the wheel. I think that is better for us, than Bron.

We're all expecting and hoping Russ will be his normal self tonight with Lebron resting that ankle. That normal Russ who has destroyed the Lakers as a member of the Thunder, Rockets , and Wizards.
Crazy how he's always had that statement win against us where he willed his team to victory with all three of those franchises.
With all that said AD definitely does not get a pass with Lebron sitting out as well.
Tonights opposing bigs are Keldon Johnson, Jakob Poeltl, Thaddeus Young, Jock Landale, Devonatae Cacok.

This is far and away the biggest positive for the Westbrook trade which is to survive without Bron since it was obvious he simply can't do the 82 game season anymore which is fully expected at 37. Still a little earlier then I was hoping it would happen but at least it's against a mediocre team so as long as AD comes to play against a soft front court we should still take this game imo.
I'm secretly excited that Bron gets to take a game off.
Also out of our big 3, Westbrook's game is the one that's least adaptable. Let him run the show, AD and Bron will adapt to him. That's our unfair advantage against other teams.
Ex MVP, triple double king, manifestation of pure energy and will.
Westbrook's opportunity to show what he can do as primary point guard for the team. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

Too early to load manage Lebron. The Lakers need more time to gel. Westbrick hasn't shown me anything yet. We need to build a good record first. _________________ Playoffs is good enough. - Jeanie Buss 2024

Not sure if we need to harp on this a lot but the nickname Westbrick is getting old and annoying, he’s a Laker and we need to show him support and love.
