Either way, the kid has shown to be much better than expected. |

I like this guy - Lebron picked up on his bball IQ and that's not a surprise, he is the type of role player who will play better with high level players.
Biggest surprise is his grit on defense. |

Well this is the issue with LeKlutch teams. The scouting hits on players and then LeKlutch turns around and trades them for name players…which sometimes works and sometimes doesn’t and then it’s back to square one when LeKlutch leaves.
It’s looking like the Lakers and Rams might really suck in like 2023/2024
The Rams follow the LeKlutch business model. |

Might be the biggest steal by Jesse and the gang since they've been doing this. _________________ It was reminiscent of one of those Most Interesting Man in the World advertisements: "I don't always shoot 6-for-28 from the field, but when I do, I become the youngest player in league history to score 28,000 career points." |

Excellent floor game with 7 assists and 0 turnovers. Three point shooting misleading since I counted at least 3 end of quarter / end of shot clock bail out threes. |

I'm in this camp. We clearly need a big wing who can shoot and defend and imo THT is the asset that can get us closest to finding that. Between Monk, Auston, and Nunn he's expendable.
Reaves looks like another HUGE steal.. yet again. |

If we trade THT for a two-way forward with length, we better not trade him for someone who is 30 or over.
We need to get younger. The fact that THT is really young makes me reluctant to support trading him. |

I think Austin will be a solid player for years to come. Even though he does not have incredible athletic ability he makes up for it with his natural basketball IQ, and great all around effort. He's still going to be tested and will have some rough nights a rookie but I think he will work hard at his game and not stop getting better. |

When he can spot shoot at a 38% or higher clip, I'll buy what you're selling |

Seems like the kings were hunting him a bit out there. Doubt they'll be the only team to try that. If he doesn't get consistent minutes it'll be because Vogel cares alot about that end of the floor. _________________ "Every hurt is a lesson, and every lesson makes you better” |

His defense is, at least on eye test, look good, he don’t get destroyed and position well on reading drives (of course standard is low when watching him so far) but he look like he can play |

The scout department did it again. This kid is a diamond in the rough, straight up steal by the Lakers. He has flaws and makes rookie mistakes but he plays with poise and is not afraid of the moment (Hillbilly Kobe mentality). |

24 year old rookies used to be common until the early entry rules changed. Consider that he is a rookie coming into the league in his prime and he is close to his ceiling. He can be a solid bench player and that fits on an older team. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

But can he be Bron’s next GOAT tho…tbd

Hopefully we get to experience some #whiteboymagic again with our current 1 roster spot mandate going towards the melaninly challenged.
Quote: | “I ask a lot of questions,” Reaves said. “Like I said the other day, I ask Rondo something probably every five minutes so it’s really just me trying to be a sponge and learning. I got beat on two or three back cuts tonight and it’s just situations like that where they’re trying to coach me up and teach me situations how we got to guard it.”
“It’s Rondo and everybody knows the pedigree he has, the foundation that he’s set. He’s looked at as one of the highest basketball IQs in the game, so really just having him on the team and just someone that literally just ask questions to all the time is just a big help for me. I just want to be a sponge in those types of situations and it’s not just him. I ask Coach [Frank Vogel] questions, LeBron [James] questions. I go down the line. I just want to learn and like I said, be a sponge to take everything in,” Reaves said after Wednesday’s practice.
“Yeah, even today at shootaround, he’s talking about a situation where a guy’s coming off a pindown and you’re a top lock and I was telling him that we don’t do that here,” Rondo said after shootaround before the preseason game against the Warriors.
“But it was a great question, obviously, coming from a great background as far as knowing the game. Because that’s what you’d normally do against shooters is top lock, but our team, our personnel, what coach Frank wants of us is not what he did.”

What player that fits that description is available to be traded for THT. _________________ It was reminiscent of one of those Most Interesting Man in the World advertisements: "I don't always shoot 6-for-28 from the field, but when I do, I become the youngest player in league history to score 28,000 career points." |
