If THT, Monk, and Nunn apply their collective athletic skills to the being pests on defense the team will thrive.
Factoid I found: Nunn is the only undrafted player in NBA history to win the rookie of the month award three consecutive months. The young man's got skills and that's reflected in what it took to sign him.
The more I look at Nunn, the more I love this signing
Way better fit than Schroder at a quarter of the price. Yeah he doesn't really provide playmaking, but as long as Bron or Westbrook is on the court at all times we're good _________________ #18 next...
All NBA players can shoot well in practice, even guys like Dwight and McGee
True. Dwight is actually 8/25 in actual games over the past two seasons, surprisingly.
He doesn't get many opportunities as he's never hanging out around the three point line and is rarely contested when he tries. But to put that into context in the cringiest way possible... That's a higher percentage than Schroder, Caruso, Kuzma, KCP, Markieff, and Matthews shot in the playoffs last year.
Kendrick Nunn on passing on more money/opportunity on another team when signing with the Lakers:
"It wasn't that hard, to be honest. I am a guy who knows how to sacrifice for the better of the team. I know how to do that, and am willing to do that. I want to win."

Pelinka jumping up and down in his office.
[Highlight by me] That must be the theme of the season. _________________ ππ π π π #18!!!

I understand that DS was trying to get his payday, and Nunn just got his, but Nunn could have easily made more money elsewhere but chose us, DS, otoh, was offered the max by us and turned it down.
Nunn "knows how to sacrifice for the better of the team". DS "wants to start....and wants (contract wise) what's fair".... The max, apparently, wasn't fair.

We've added character plus skills. Nice!
Sometimes itβs better to sign guys than to trade for em. They sign here, you know they want to be here. Guys get traded here, youβre fifty fifty. Unfortunate it didnt work out with DS, but we move on. I like this new group of guys. They all look so happy to be here with the team.
I heard that Nunn shot 42 percent on catch and shoot 3s. Thatβs a solid number. Depending on his defense he could get minutes on this team. We have quite a few guys that at least on paper are above average catch and shoot 3 point shooters. In the case of Nunn, he can do some other things as well.

Do you mean minutes at SG? Because he's the back up PG and will certainly play...The question is how much....Russ will play at a minimum 30 minutes IMO so Nunn has 18 minutes for sure. When Bron is playing with him Nunn can certainly play off the ball if needed cuz like you said shot 42% on catch and shoot.
I would consider this a good signing. Nunn is good find for the Lakers, especially this specific team of players. I hope the Bright Lights and Big City doesn't effect his game in a negative way and he continues to evolve as a solid all around player in this league.

Do we get his bird right or anything like that, you know, if he turns out real good?
We will have his early bird rights after 2 years. So yes. _________________ Lakers Offseason Goal:
- Draft Zach Edey (or Kel'el Ware)
- Sign Jonas Valanciunas or Nicolas Claxton
- sign and trade DLO to not lose value
- sign a coach thatβs not an idiot
Definitely has some game. Excited to see what he brings defensively.
Just from those highlights, you can see he is extremely left hand dominant. That could explain some of his inconsistency, where teams who scout him and lean on his left hand can make things tough on him. _________________ Austin Reaves keeps his game tight, like Kobe Bryant on game night.

I think he is sort of a Buddy Hield kind of guy, makes a lot of sense to have him paired either with Lebron or Westbrook, when we need a shooter. _________________ LAKERS 2019-2020: NBA World Champions!
This info on Kendrick Nunn will definitely excite those people who have doubts about his Impact as a basketball player, we all know the only reason why he isnβt with the Miami Heat right now is because they had to make room for Kyle Lowry and the other players they signed
