A question being debated on FirstTake. CP3 may opt out of his contract. Westbrook is in the mix. If you ran the front office who would you go after? And why?
I limited the choices because that's the way it was asked on FirstTake _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.
America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves.

I like Chris because he's a Rondo type player. CP3 is a floor general who can score. He can spread the floor. He'll take some pressure off LeBron. Paul will supplement Bron and AD. IMO he would give us a legitimate Big 3. _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

CP is obviously the better fit, but how many years of 'good CP' are you getting?
Reason I picked Chris over Russell is, we need a PG who can score. Brook's jumper is suspect. _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Lebron.
That's too much a workload for Bron. He needs to pace himself. Play him at the 3 or 4. Save him for the 4th quarter. _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

I would prefer Doncic over either of the two listed options given his youth, upside potential, and superior shooting. _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:

Neither would be my 1st choice but of the 2, CP3 is the ONLY choice. _________________ Build around team players, not ISO players.
According to ESPN’s The Undefeated, the Los Angeles Lakers have been on the hunt for a replacement for Dennis Schroder and Paul is on the short list. Rumors also link Wizards star Russell Westbrook being a potential sign-and-trade deal that may include Dennis Schroder, Kyle Kuzma and Talen Horton-Tucker.
To get Chris Paul in a Lakers uniform, it would likely take a sign-and-trade with the Suns. The most money the Lakers can offer otherwise is a $9.5 million taxpayer midlevel exception. But the opportunity to chase his first championship with LeBron James and Anthony Davis will keep the rumors alive until August.

CP3 is the one that makes the most sense in comparison to Rondo, and what playoff Rondo was about. He would be great. He would be playing a lot less minutes and would mainly be there to set up the offense and organise things, and then Bron could take over later in games.
The odds are low we can pull it off. I mean CP3 would need to be convinced Suns wouldn’t win a chip. That’s hard to say because they’re young and just went to 6 games in the NBA Finals .
Let’s say he does prefer the Lakers route and odds he then has to convince Sarvar that he is walking for nothing. We don’t wanna give up too much though, sort of like we did with Steve Nash in 2012.
I think Lonzo Ball is a great Rondo replacement as well. Just not sure if he would be let go. The klutch thing helps us, but again, we would need to give the Pels a lot of picks and players. I would just speculate - Kuz, 22 pick this year, future picks etc. and we are hard capped. If Ball is BYC that makes it even tougher.
Neither. If we can get to CP3 or WB's salary, we can get Beal or Lavine. _________________ On Lakersground, a concern troll is someone who is a fan of another team, but pretends to be a Lakers fan with "concerns".

Neither was in the mix. I could have had an other option but that would detract from what was debated on ESPN. _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Bringing in any of those two would mean having a very weak
bench of spare parts, I'm passing on both. _________________ Lakers need to build a freaking team !
