Pork chops are tasty AND not as bad for one's health as (beef) steaks.
Yes, but like with anything else, there are gradations of pork chop goodness. You got quality A restaurants that know how to cook mean, eyelid-fluttering double cut chops and you got mama's olde style flat pork chops. The good thing about pork chops is that they're kinda like pizza in the sense that, as long as they're correctly cooked, they're all basicaly good from low range to upper crust. W/ gravy from the deglazed pan, they're even better. And pork is what's for dinner. It's the other, other white meat. We got some high-class professional sophisticates like Larry in here. Anyone ever have a chop that ended all prior chops anywhere that you wanna mention?
Do you prefer them breaded and fried (thin) or grilled (thick)?
Grilled either way, thicc or thin. Why that? I don't prefer breading on things like that. Same w/ fish unless it's a flavorless kind like trout, but even then, lightly breaded is best. I've never had Beef Wellington, but it looks texturally gross to me even tho I might like it from a place that does it exceedingly well. However, it's hard to look at that breading and feel good about it.

Anybody got any opinions on the recent Israel v. Palestine violence?
I don't know enough about the 2 countries' histories to have an opinion.
But I've never been a fan of Netanyahu. Surprised he's still PM.
I think there are no good guys, just a lot of innocent victims.

I take the side of the civilians murdered no matter their faith or nationality.
Being Jewish, there's that side of me that says F the Palenstinians, Arabs and Iranians and let's kill 'em all, but I know that in the real world we have to find a way to get along with them as much as possible. At the same time, it seems like the Israelis are usually or always less to blame than the Arabs in these conflicts.
Then again, I'm not an expert on the Middle East and I don't even care much about foreign policy.

He seems like too much of a war hawk, at least as far as I can tell as someone who doesn't pay a ton of attention to the Middle East.
Israel damn well has the right to defend itself, but at the same time they (and we as well) need to be careful to not incite the Arabs and Iranians. It's such a fine line to walk. _________________ Lakers 49ers Chargers Dodgers

Not to mention he's corrupt as (bleep).

This is wildly inappropriate and oozing bigotry. There is no place for that here no matter what side of the issue one is taking.

Unfortunately, this question opened Pandora's box.
1) This topic is inherently political and would belong in the Politics thread.
2) In the past people have been unable to discuss this topic without strains of bigotry seeping into the conversation.
3) If people can discuss the issue without referencing religion, race or national stereotypes, then we can give it a go in the Politics thread if people want to continue the discussion there.

That shouldn’t be controversial. Dunkin’ Donuts coffee is the equivalent of Folgers. And the donuts are pretty ordinary too. _________________ “We must always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented.” ― Elie Wiesel
Best donut = lemon filled powdered jelly donut. Ugh. Raspberry is good, too, but not as good. I'd risk a Private Pyle soap-bar beatdown for a lemon right about now. If a jernt can't do that staple well, they're shless. Other than that, you can't beat a good chocolate or maple bar. What are your faves? _________________ GOAT MAGIC REEL SEDALE TRIBUTE EDDIE DONX!

I like the apple fritters, from an indy doughnut place run by a Cambodian family, in National City (about 10 minutes from Downtown San Diego).

Haha, I love turtlenecks. Give me a buxom babe in a turtleneck any day.

Oh yes
Count the cuts on that dance sequence, Cut. It's crazy how few shots they used.
Simply incredible. Love that you catch so many musicals. Really sad how America has let the cinematic musical die
Good news: mixed reviews for Lin-Manuel Miranda's In The Heights, but the smart theater kid critics love it so far. And Spielberg's WSS adaptation should be big.
I do wish one of the remaining non-Disney studios would commit to a theatrically released musicals division even with lower budgets. You need to cultivate talent (both in front of and behind the camera) in house to really build a consistent string of good musicals. _________________ Under New Management
Where have all the white male American NBA stars gone?
It isn't an American basketball problem really, because the WNBA is chock-a-block with great white American born players from elder stateswomen like Sue Bird and Elena Delle Donne to young superstars like Sabrina Ionescu.
In the NBA, Jokic is about to win MVP, Luka looks like a future MVP winner, and there's a deep stable of starter to ASG caliber international white guys while the oft-injured Kevin Love and Gordon Hayward are still probably the best white American NBA players.
What's the deal do you think? _________________ Under New Management
