Game is completely different in the playoffs. Half court sets, limited breaks. They will miss Jamal immensely in the postseason. _________________ "WEARESUCK" |

They were 8-2 before that against much tougher opponents so this argument is invalid. Anyways, a 10-game or 20-game sample size is still too small to come to any conclusion. We know Murray is good from watching him in the playoffs last year. That's what counts. If we met the Nuggets in the playoffs, I would much rather not face him. Our team is looking like they might need an easy, tune-up series to get their motors going. _________________ Playoffs is good enough. - Jeanie Buss 2024 |

Yeah he'll have big games like anyone else, but his overall impact is fairly replaceable. |

Or instead of going "See this proves Jamal Murray is overrated!" they should be saying "Wow look at how good Michael Porter Jr has gotten..." _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

The emergence of MPJ made the Nuggets a serious contender for the chip imo. He just makes that team so dynamic and they were looking great after getting Gordon to help on the Wing.
They probably won’t win it all now that Murray got hurt, but prior the injury they were legit and even without Murray if a team underestimates them; they still have enough to win a couple of series. |

With LeBron declaring that he won’t be 100% in his career that could sway the FO to look for another star, next season might be the season LeBron really starts to catch up to Father Time. |

I watched that interview after people went crazy about his quote. Seemed like a passive comment about the overall effect of aging/injury, rather than saying this particular injury took away something significant that he won't get back. |

The minute a player has the same injury more than once they will never be 100 ever again |

Schroeder has played better Lowry since the trade deadline though.
He puts up the same numbers as Lowry but for 20 million less. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

Lowry has intangibles you can't value.
Plus Lowry won't be making the same money next yr. |

People really need to watch the actual interview. He was not talking about this injury caused him never be able to 100%. It is Father Time.
He was not 100% compare to his physical prime either last season.
We just need to be 100% of what he can be physically at the moment. |

Even if he’s 100% the FO might need to look for another scoring option to lessen the burden on LeBron, next year might be the season he really starts to show his age. |

Reminds me of when James Worthy’s play fell off a cliff
Bad ankle sprain. Lakers destroyed in 1991 Finals by Jordan.
Then he had knee surgery
Lost all his quickness spin moves dunks
Started shooting threes and lefty hook shots
Then he retired

It was back to the Finals again 1991, thanks to Worthy's team-leading and career high 21.4 ppg and the addition of former Tarheel star Sam Perkins. Unfortunately, Worthy suffered a high ankle sprain in Game 5 of the Western Conference Finals against the Blazers and was very limited heading into the Finals against the Bulls. Despite LA pulling out a Game 1 victory in Chicago, it ultimately wasn't enough against a surging Chicago Bulls squad led by his former college teammate Michael Jordan. The Lakers ultimately fell in five games and Worthy sat out Game 5 after re-injuring the ankle in Game 4.
It would be Worthy's last chance at a fourth ring. Magic Johnson's sudden retirement in November 1991 threw the Lakers franchise for a loop. Injuries and high mileage soon spelled the end for Worthy. The high ankle injury during the 1991 playoffs and season-ending knee surgery in 1992 had robbed much of his quickness and leaping ability. After struggling with knee pain in the 1994–95 preseason, Worthy announced his retirement in November 1994, after 12 seasons in the NBA. |

I was ok with Lowry for Dennis/KCP. But they also wanted THT. So no. We would have been decimated losing 2 starters and a key reserve. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

Yep adding THT is major overpay. Masai is a top executive for a reason, he took a shot at seeing if Pelinka would get desperate and pull a Magic. |

This ESPN-Marvel telecast between Warriors/Pelicans is different. My 5 year old is getting a kick out of it though, it’s like NBA Jam he says. _________________

Lowry's intangibles sure did not do much for Toronto without Kawhi. Lowry's game is similar to most borderline stars and scrubs: pop off against the Lakers to try to get yourself a new contract that you do not deserve. |
