Anthony Davis said he felt a “ripping” sensation when he planted his foot wrong in Denver in February. He said he’s never experienced pain like that and was initially worried he tore his Achilles.
Frank Vogel said it usually takes “a couple weeks” to get back into shape when you’ve missed two months like Anthony Davis has, but the minutes restriction probably will only last a few games. Davis will start even with the minutes restriction.

AD ON TONIGHTS RETURN
Per Nichols (video at link)
Anthony Davis discussed returning to the court tonight for the first time since Valentine's Day - @RJeff24 and @McTen on how AD's rounding back into form will affect the Lakers playoff run
Carlisle says he’s unsure if Porzingis will need an MRI, but that “seeing him after the game, he didn’t seem that bad.” Adds that his hope is that this turns out to be minor.

AD POST GAME
Per Trudell
How many minutes AD plays on Saturday is to be determined, as LAL want to first see how he responds physically to game action. Frank Vogel did say he looked good physically, and Davis himself mentioned he didn’t even think about the injury.

AD IS FINE
Per Trudell
AD clarified that he got kicked on the opposite calf from his previous injury, and he’s fine. Obviously, he stayed in the game in the 3rd Q, then returned in the 4th.
He said he felt really good physically, but his shot was just short, which speaks to his legs/conditioning.
