Suffocating people to death with a knee to the neck is about as awful as it gets. _________________ On Lakersground, a concern troll is someone who is a fan of another team, but pretends to be a Lakers fan with "concerns". |

Chauvin waved his right to a jury if there is a retrial. That means his fate would be in the hands of Judge Cahill. Judges go by evidence and law. IMO that favors the state. _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

He didn't waive the right to a jury retrial, unless I misunderstood what they said.
He waived the right to have a jury rule on if there were aggravating factors if he is convicted. Meaning if he is found guilty and before sentencing the prosecutors raise aggravating factors which might increase the sentence, the judge will rule on those factors rather than asking the jury to do so. _________________ “There is always light if only we're brave enough to see it, if only we're brave enough to be it.” --Amanda Gorman |

With his hands in his pockets. That's egregious. _________________ You are under no obligation to remain the same person you were a year ago, a month ago, or even a day ago. You are here to create yourself, continuously. - Richard Feynman |

You are correct. Makes sense that he would prefer the judge to rule in that scenario since a jury that has found him guilty is probably going to find him guilty on aggravating factors too. |

I was hoping for a quick jury decision. I think a quick decision would mean guilty verdicts. The longer they're out the better it is for Chauvin. _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

I feel a verdict this quick may mean he's been found guilty. _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

This quick leans towards guilty on at least one charge. |

True. But remember that the OJ jury took only 4 hours to return a “Not Guilty” verdict. _________________ You thought God was an architect, now you know

Also true. I think it is likely there is some for of conviction, but we’ve been surprised before. _________________ You thought God was an architect, now you know

The jury is half people of color. If the vote was to let him go free, you'd think at least one person would hold out to go over all the evidence first -- which would take more than 1 day. We'll see. |
