It just dawned on me that camp started yesterday so it's time to fire this bad boy back up. Let us pray for a calm and uneventful season injury-wise. LeBron already said don't look for him in the Pre-Season. If there were ever a good time for some load management, now would be it.
First Half Season Schedule
Per NBA (info at link)
the 2020-21 season begins December 22, 2020 and runs through March 4, 2021!
FULL SCHEDULE: http://app.link.nba.com/e/Schedule

Various Tidbits
Per Trudell
Frank Vogel said that it’s too soon to decide upon a starting lineup, but he’s definitely going to give Dennis Schroder "strong consideration” to start. Vogel said Schroder is a great fit to play alongnside LeBron because he can be effective on and off the ball.
https://twitter.com/LakersReporter/status/1334967474467479552
Vogel said LeBron and AD’s signing extensions allows LAL two foundational “pillars” around which to build. That works for the roster, for the rotation, for everything.
https://twitter.com/LakersReporter/status/1334967799962165249
Vogel on the free agent acquisitions (Harrell, Gasol, Matthews, Schroder): "The new players we brought in here are nasty dudes.”
Each has his own distinct personality, of course, but Vogel loves the collective fire.
https://twitter.com/LakersReporter/status/1334968582313287680
Vogel on LeBron playing in the preseason: "We don’t want to underdo it, and then he’s not ready to play in real games. We don’t want to overdo it (either). I expect we’ll probabbly see him some, but not a ton. Enough for him to get ready for opening night."

Thanks TDRock! Very informative thread and useful pregame reference, all season long, year after year. Much appreciated! Terrible news about KAT's family, wish him well. Here's hoping that dark cloud lifts by season's end. |

He might have to opt out "for safety concerns" reason It doesn't make sense playing the game if you can't go places _________________ Major bullets dodged: DH12 - twice, LMA, Melo - twice, PG-13, DeMar DeRozan. Hit jackpot with DH-12 at the right time |

LEBRON AND AD SKIPPING 1st PRE-SEASON GAME
To the surprise of no one...
Per Trudell
LeBron and AD won’t play in the preseason opener tomorrow, via Frank Vogel.
He has hinted previously that both would play some limited preseason minutes, however, as they get ready for the season opener on Dec. 22. There are three other preseason games.

STARTERS FOR THE OTHER SIDE
On the other hand this game is apparently hella serious for the Clippers.
Per Trudell
Patrick Beverley, Paul George, Kawhi Leonard, Nic Batum and Serge Ibaka will start for the Clippers tonight.

Taken from CBS Sports Injury Report neither of the Lakers Clippers had updated their information in time for the NBA official injury report.
LAKERS
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope - Rest
Marc Gasol - Rest
LeBron James - Rest
Alfonzo McKinnie - Personal (to my knowledge he never reported for a training camp. Not sure exactly what’s happening there although I have some thoughts)
Anthony Davis - Rest
Markieff Morris - Rest
Clippers
I guess they don’t have any ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. CBS literally does not even list them on their injury report

Go Lakers!!

CARUGOAT SHOULD BE OK
Slipped in the 2nd QTR of pre season game one. Report is a sore hip flexor, not related to the previous hip injury Alex had. He’s sitting the rest of this game but he should be A OK.
Per Trudell
Alex Caruso slipped in the first half and has a sore hip flexor; they decided not to put him back in the game, but it’s nothing serious.
