Popcorn,
something doenst make sense to me about your +/- man.
Kobe basically played the entire game up until mid fourth and the lakers were +21 with him in the game scoring wise.
When he left the game the rockets outscored the lakers by 14 in like 3 minutes when the lead went from 21 when kobe went out to 7 when kobe came back in.
Then after he came back, the lakers outscored the rockets by 1 point the rest of the way
So, shouldnt his +/- be (21 total wiht him in lineup + 14 total outscored without him + 1 total wiht him back in) = +36 point differential. |

Here are each of Kobe's stints in the game.
You can get details on these from my BoxScore page, and then click on Kobe.
This shows that his +/- for the game was 20.
Code: | Period Min +/-
1 11.3 -4
1 0.1 0
2 12.0 7
3 10.5 15
4 5.1 1
4 4.0 1

43.0 20

Oh, and so they were -12 without Kobe.
But for these +/-, you don't count the out of game stretch.
That is implied from the final score.
Since Kobe was +20 and they won by 8, they were -12 without him.
Since Cook was +7 and they won by 8, they were +1 without him.
And so on. |

PopcornMachine,
I just wanted to give you major kudos for the gameflows. I recently found
them accidentally (outside of this forum), and they are a great way to see what happened during the course of a game!!
Great work!

Thanks very much, Kurt.
I do see people from other sites visiting, and I hope the whole league takes a look. |
