I have seen mixed messages regarding fans supporting LeBron coming to the Lakers, but let's all settle this, if we get LeBron we are back to being a title contender for the next 5 years. Some fans however don't want LeBron wearing the Lakers uniform saying hes gonna start declining.
Do most Laker fans support LeBrons arrival in 2018?

No way. Unless he signs a 4 year deal, which he won't, but the pure laker fan in me cringes picturing lebron in the P&G. |

I don't want him per se. But if he comes then it's fine. We'll contend and that's all that matters. |

We have some talented young players. Keep the core together and let them grow. They're gonna win games. It might take 2 or so more years but that's fine. by that time james will be too old to contribute anything.
Before that time, he'll only take minutes away, while breaking up the core because of how much of the salary space he takes up. It's different with someone like George because not only is he much younger, his max also takes up less salary space
So no James. Don't want him messing up what we have _________________ Kobe |

I want Lebron the 30 year old.
Not Lebron the 34 year old. He'd make us a heck of a lot better in the short term, and probably, at least for a year or two, a legitimate playoff team by himself.
If he did come here, I'd root for the team and him just the same, but, my preferred approach is the long game and not the quick fix. |

Why are you guys assuming LeBron would come here on a 1 year deal? |

If we get LeBron, I can just imagine a dozen of vets lining up to come here on a discount |

That's been his MO. He needs a 1 year deal so he can hold us hostage every summer. |

No brainer, if we have the chance just sign him.
LeBron was never one of my favorite players, but when I look at our roster it would be a fantastic situation signing one of the greatest players of all time while we develop Ball and Ingram to maybe take over one day.
Ball is a rookie, Brandon Ingram is not posting huge numbers like KAT, Embiid or Jokic and Julius is a no defense 13 and 8 guy. We need sure fire all stars desperately to give our young core the chance to learn how to win while they develop. |

Of course. He's a franchise changer off his personality alone. If Lebron is even thinking of coming here you know Magic is going to bend over backwards to bring him here whether you like it or not. |

If he's going to force trades of the young core (Ball, Ingram, kuzma, anyone that emerges, etc.), then no.
This is the same situation he put Miami and Cleveland 2.0 in and it's not worth it for the lakers to make a 2 year run and most likely not win a championship and back to tanking.
Only way Lebron makes sense is if they get another max and fill the rest with the young guys they already have and vets on cheap deals. |

I hope that's not true, I have to assume that LeBron coming here is centered around on a long term commitment I can't see the Lakers risking the 1+1 deal especially considering how big of a ego superstar players have. |

Anyone that can put us back into contention is a friend of mine as long as we keep the young core somewhat intact for the future. |

Anybody who says no to signing him as a FA no matter what the contract looks like is absolutely out of their basketball mind. I hate Lebron, but he's the best player in the league and has been for years. You do whatever it takes to get him. |

This. If we have the money to spend why would you not want him? You'd rather sign Boogie? C'mon man! _________________ “This goes far beyond paychecks” |
