Yep, watched the game. Scoring PG. Still some issues with backcourt pressure. The rest of it is a given, considering his work ethic and devotion to improve. _________________ Resident Car Nut.

I saw a decent amount of him last year. He has all the leadership intangibles you want in a PG. He's willing to do whatever it takes to win. If Cleveland didn't already have Kyrie Smart would have been the first pick.
This kid is crazy good IMO still needs work on the defensive end but no doubt the work ethic is there & am sure if the Lakers draft him if we end up with a good draft pick I think Kobe would take that guy to another level.
Ugh haven't been excited for a draft class since the Lebron/Melo Class. _________________

he will be a bust. didnt see anything special in him. He has a major advantage and that is being stronger than every guard at the colleg elevel.. wont happen in nba.
Worked out well for Deron Williams. At 6'4 220 he will be stronger than most point guards in the NBA as well, and he has the skills and decent enough athleticism to match.
Watched him against Memphis, in the game he scored 39 points. Looked very similar to Bledsoe, although a bit less athletic and slower i guess? Also looked a lot smarter and taller, maybe stronger as well? I now understand The dude that said that Smart was like Lebron in a PG body. He looks like the real deal and i expect him to bully most of the opponents guards at will, even in the nba.
He reminds me alot of DWade when he played in Marquette. He's an inch shorter than Wade but has speed and an outside jumper. Really want this guy and Jabari.
Baron Davis was that big was outright quick AND explosive. Smart? Not so much.
Sorry, what I meant was he is quicker than Flash with an outside shot. I really like Smart, at best he could be the next Wade, Rose, or Mitch Richmond. At worst a rich man's Nate Robinson.

Disagree about speed. He's a power point guard.

Really disagree about being the next Wade or Rose. The only guard with that kind of speed or is even close, is Jahii Carson. But he's a projected mid-1st round pick because he's 5'11".
Smart gets into the paint with an average first step in combination with a power dribble. He sheds defenders off of his shoulders. But, he doesn't really put any defenders behind him with outright speed.

How would you compare his ball handling ability to Tyreke Evans?

Smart has plenty of speed and he's just as athletic as Westbrook, Rose, or Bledsoe. This guy does 360's windmills has like a 40 inch vert and he's stronger. He's not as fast as Rose but neither is CP3 or Curry, he's on par with those guys. He's kinda of like a athletic Deron Williams with a bit of Gary Payton. Here's his highlights .

How's his first step, shiftiness and lateral quickness? _________________ A banana is killed every time a terrible thread or post is made. Save the bananas. Stop creating terrible posts!

He has about the same first step, shiftiness and lateral quickness as CP3 or a young Deron Williams. The guy is a physical specimen. That's who i think were gonna draft.
The way he attacks the rim is kind of like Wade. Difference is Smart is a true pg has great ball handling and passing. He can slide over and play sg at times though when Farmar comes in.

We definitely don't see the same thing, even when it's the same player.
The shooting is improved.
The vert is there. Vert is different from directional quickness and outright speed.
As opposed to this.
As fast/quick as Exum is, he's still not on Westbrook's, Rose's, and especially Bledsoe's level. At least Exum has height and length to compensate. _________________ Resident Car Nut.
