No excuses tonight, Lakers were outplayed completely, couldn't stop the lob or the break against a team who plays the slowest pace in the NBA..... took ill-advised shots. Oh, and all this against a team who came back last night at 3AM after playing the Jazz in Utah.
Evidently not. Without a call it is just a turd shot
intelligent people would know that the absence of a call does not mean an absence of a foul.

it doesn't matter as per intelligent people
The only thing that matters is the call on the floor.
Garnett could push Fisher to the floor, blatantly. The refs don't call it. So that means Garnett doesn't push Fisher? Yeah, nice logic there.
Hes simply arguing semantics. As in, if the foul wasnt called....then whether there was a violation or not is irrelevant. All that matters is whats called. Hes just throwing up smoke and mirrors, changing the argument because his position is indefensible...thats all. Read his first quote that was responded to. He implied Kobe was only trying to draw a foul and not really attempting to score the basket.....even though he was fouled (yet another no call). Anyone whos watched Kobe play this game knows he is ALWAYS trying to score the rock...fouled or not. It was a ridiculous statement, and when someone pointed out that he WAS fouled....he turned it into the semantics game.

One stupid missed call wouldn't matter if the Lakers cared. If the same crap happens to them in the playoffs because they lose HCA, they deserve it. We fans, however, will suffer nonetheless.
Pau's packed it in. He looks bored. The reason we lost the last four games. _________________ "Now, if life is coffee, then the jobs, money & position in society are the cups. Can't wait for playoffs. I may be the only one that's not too bothered by this final stretch of play. They're begging for the playoffs to start. HCA is important no doubt, but it doesn't mean ish if one of our core players go down (knock on wood). Fans worry about every loss hence the term "fanatic". The team, more importantly veteran teams, like LA (even BOS) don't. Go ahead and call me a sunshine pumper. I just have too much faith in this team for the postseason despite their porous regular season play.

I'd be 100% with you if they'd sit the starters, but we still have Bynum falling to the ground and causing strokes on LG.

Great post, especially the bolded sentence. The play where Bynum fouled out tonight was just idiotic! I mean he comes flying down the paint and basically runs Gerald Wallace over, then he's slow to get up. I hope he's okay, I'd hate for a meaningless play in an almost certain loss (at that point) to be the reason the Lakers aren't at full strength.
No. We held Portland to 45FG% and grabbed 52 rebounds compared to Portland's 41 rebounds. _________________ I Recommend VLC Player: http://www.videolan.org/

Did you not see all the dunks we gave them?
We gave up some dunks in half-court, but most of their points in half-court were jumpshots. The vast majority of their paint opportunities came in transition as result of TO's caused by poor offensive execution. 45FG% isn't that bad. It's the lost possessions due to TO's that killed us. _________________ I Recommend VLC Player: http://www.videolan.org/
I expected this lose (like i said in first page) because battle Blazers was always tough and in last seasons they beat us a lot of times. Our team is slow and old and can't catch up quick fast-break teams like OKC, Portland, GSW etc. We need to slow down pace to be able to get some stops! Running with those young gunz won't get it done for us imo.
I'm concerned about playing Portland in the playoffs, especially if they start LaMarcus at the 5 and Batum at the 4.
They're able to stretch the floor and space it to the point where Bynum has to go out to defend LaMarcus which causes our defense to get screwed up. We just didn't match up well on the defensive end to their starting 5. The Lakers were just so confused on the defensive end, guys were out of position in mismatches all night and I believe it was due to LaMarcus bringing Andrew out of the paint.
LO and Pau should have been able to defend and switch those match ups but for whatever reasons, Pau left his game in LA.
BTW, what was up with Pau giving up lobs all freakin night? Are his hamstrings or knee OK? He was flat footed all night acting like he had never seen a lob pass for a dunk before.
