i was at the game and have 3 observations:
1) The refs did EVERYTHING in their power to give this game to the Nuggets...EVERYTHING. i wasnt able to see many replays cause i was so focused on the game but they literally gave the Nuggets EVERY call.
2) Trasha Vujacic and Fluke Walton are terrible absolutely terrible. How they continue to get minutes absolutey baffles me.
3) THANK GOD KOBE BRYANT IS A LAKER...JERRY WEST AS MUCH AS I LOVE AND RESPECT YOU, YOU'RE AN IDIOT THERE IS NO PLAYER BETTER IN THE WORLD THAN MR. 24...NONE _________________ "These young guys are playing checkers. I'm out there playing chess."

Man, I love my Lakers. What a great game down the stretch. Anybody who thought that Kobe was loosing it a little was clearly proven wrong tonight. KB24 proved yet again who's still the best closer in the world. Even though they didn't put up big points, the Laker role players made huge plays from big shots to huge steals. Congrats to the Lakers for a great win. The Lakers showed tonight the difference between a great team and a up and coming team.

I just did the math really quick, but here's how it shapes up so far:
In 4 postseason games in Cleveland:
Cleveland - 124 FTs
Opponent - 70 FTs
In 8 postseason games in LA:
Lakers - 214 FTs
Opponent - 214 FTs |

I've seen the game and there were a few technicals that Denver should of got. Near the end of the 3rd, Anderson setup a screen to get Bullips up the court and he laid out Brown.
Now if a guard goes into a big and the big flops, the guard gets suspended but the big can take out a guard and no action is taken. There should of been a technical for this alone because it's unfair for a bigger player to be able to take out a smaller one but when a smaller player takes out a bigger player, it's wrong.
And JR should of received a tech for pushing Kobe into Martin when he got injured and Martin could of gotten a tech for pulling on Kobe's jersey and trying to bring him to the ground when he also got injured.
The refereeing was appauling, it didn't improve until the 2:00 mark in the 4th when the Lakers finally got some calls with the Pau charge and calls on the offensive end.
Pau also showed some touchness in the clutch, when he got the 2 free throws to tie the game at 99-99, Nene had him completely wrapped around but the refs made no call on this but Pau fought through it, got the rebound and went up for 2 free throws but that is something that should be looked at for the refs at the next game.
And I hpoe never to see this officiating crew at a Laker game again. _________________ "This is a comptitive city. We're used to winning titles, not just winning games and being in the first round. We want to win championships. Now's the time.", "do something, and do it now."

So that's who it was I was wondering what this "mystery woman" was that other boards were talking about.
I can only imagine if it was someone other than Vanessa... |

George Karl looks devestated in the press conference from last night. I'm actually a bit surprised to see that reaction from him. Martin, Anthony, and the others, no. Karl, yes. |
