you think either teams will reduce their starters minutes at all, or consider this a preview of the 1st round and assess their players performances and make needed adjustments for the playoffs? |

I think it depends on what happens tonight with Cleveland. If they lose we still have a shot at HCA and must play for the win in the odd chance Cleveland drops the Philly game on Wednesday |

Since the title thread says the game is March 14 I think most people will assume you are referring to something that already happened. _________________ Hope for the best. Prepare for the worst. |

Meaningless game for the Lakers. I say tinker with different lineups, get Bynum more PT, and ShaBoom Brown as well. |

Jazz up 18 in the 4th vs Clippers that will be a win their final game is tomorrow vs us a back to back. Hornets lost to the Rockets tonight and their final game is @ San Antonio. Im pretty sure the Hornets have the tie Breaker the Jazz would have to win against us and the Hornets lose against the Spurs for it to be the Hornets in the first round and not the Jazz. I believe the Mavs just clinched at least the 7th seed since the Mavs have the tie breaker vs the Jazz. |

I want our starters to get some rest. No one, especially Pau should get more than 30 minutes. Activate Mbenga! Play Shannon more than Farmar for the fourth consecutive game and get Ammo more than two shots. But please, I don't want them to be purposely losing to Jazz just because "we don't want to play them in the first round". If we lose, then that's because our bench can't win us this game and we need more Kobe/Pau. |

I was thinking the exact same thing, I expect Utah to come out hard and make a statement, they need to know they can win in LA. OR(yes big or) Sloan plays the bench, I can totally see him forfeiting the game to rest his starters, but that's if Dallas don't lose. Think about it, from a strategic stand point it will help his team gain some rest for the real series that's about to start. Although that isn't Sloan's MO he might think about it strictly from a strategic stand point.
Either way we will win this game no point in losing just to face an "easier" opponent might as well face utah and get this thing started. Just go out an execute and rap the season up. _________________ 11/9/12 the day the brown was flushed down!!!!!!

I predicted 65-17 at the beginning of the year so they have to win this. |

no, UTAH has the tie breaker over both NO and DAL, but they are both 1 game back |

this will basically be the 1st of 3 in a row at Staples vs Utah. Winning 3 straight home games vs any team is tough so do the lakers go all out tonight, cruise or simply rest the starters? |

I would play to win, but mix up the lineups. Experiment a little and not show our hand before the playoffs. _________________ Think about how stupid the avg. person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that.

Fisher - 8 minutes
Kobe - 18 minutes
Pau - 18 minutes
Ariza - 15 minutes
Bynum - 30 minutes
Brown - 25 minutes
Farmar - 15 minutes
Sasha - 30 minutes
Odom - 20 minutes
Mbenga - 10 minutes
Powell - 18 minutes
