In this game he shot poorly, single-handedly shut down the offense, made poor decisions, and basically "ego'd" the squad out of a winnable game. I'm really, really fed up with this kind of play.
This loss is squarely on Kobe's shoulders. There was no offensive system in the last 3 minutes BECAUSE of KOBE. He was missing his shot and still was hogging the ball. A critical turnover by Kobe because he was trying to go 1 on 5. Poor judgment, poor decision making, lack of confidence in his team-mates. Did Pau even touch the ball in the last 3 minutes?
We are not going to win any championships with this kind of play by #24. Count on that... |

Kobe's nick name should be changed to the black MONGOLOID instead of black mamba. _________________ A key that has the ability to unlock many locks is a master key. But a lock that can be opened with any key is useless. |

Basically, what everyone is saying, if Phil was there to take care of the players and the calls at the end of the game, the Lakers have a better chance of winning?
That's what I've gotten through all the moaning about this and that. _________________ "This is a comptitive city. We're used to winning titles, not just winning games and being in the first round. We want to win championships. Now's the time.", "do something, and do it now."

Let the piss and moan begin. Yall stop crying. I mean its a tough loss but we played them on the second night of a back2back. If portland thinks this game means ANYTHING come playoff time they are looking for fools gold. Playoffs is a new ball game. I'm sad we lost but we won 63 games AND have the best ROAD record. Calm down yall we'll be fine. |

Two minutes left in the ballgame, I don't think Portland attempted a jumpshot. They got nothing but free throws. |

Probably not. He hasn't won there in 7 games in the regular season. It's different in the playoffs. |

Ok maybe the black mongo IS a little harsh. How about the black garden snake? _________________ A key that has the ability to unlock many locks is a master key. But a lock that can be opened with any key is useless.

Oh well. It happens. Hope to see them in the playoffs and by that time, I'm hoping we can win in their home. |
Just to repeat though, it was 31 fouls to 19. That's bad _________________ Hope for the best. Prepare for the worst. |

STAT OF THE NIGHT
Shannon Brown: 10 points
...
Derek Fisher: 2 points, Jordan Farmar: 0 points (Steve Blake: 16 points, Rodrigeuz: 10 points)
Who deserves starters minutes? |

In all seriousness, Kobe by all accounts is very smart. WFT is wrong? _________________ A key that has the ability to unlock many locks is a master key. But a lock that can be opened with any key is useless. |

unless they lose both games (unlikely, especially since garnett isn't a lock to play) then the race for the best record is indeed over. lakers now have two more losses than the cavs. |

especially on the road-I don't understand the angst. That was as poorly officiated a game as you'll see, but it means Jack squat. Drop the HCA quest-(thankfully the head coach got some rest ) and get ready for the playoffs. The refs can't take 7 games straight from you...move on. _________________ The heroes of the past are untouchable, protected forever by the fortress door of time-unless some mysterious stranger magically turns up with a key. |

Disappointing game overall, but there are some positives that can be taken from the game.
-Very Encouraging to see Bynum is quickly rounding back to speed and has so far exceed expectations
-With the emergence of Shannon Brown adds another weapon in the arsenal the Lakers can use
-Insertion of LO to the bench has greatly improve our bench play
- I wouldn't worry too much because the playoffs is a whole different beast compared to the regular season and the lakers have home court advantage
Also, Why didn't the Lakers front Oden when he was killing us? |
