Is that why they've had to erase double digit defecits in the second half several times this season to medicore and bad teams? Boston has not been anymore on then we have. |
Good point. There have been a couple of games, for example the Golden State game last week where the Celtics were down by 13 at halftime after being outscored by 20 points in the second quarter, where I thought that the Celtics were going to lose. The Celtics did come back to win that game but it is obvious that the Celtics are not always on. _________________ “When the debate is lost, slander becomes the tool of the loser.”

we have to keep winning, boston won't lose, those bastards. 73 might not be a luxury but a necessity. _________________ "i was born down in the valley where the sun refused to shine, but i'm climbin' up to the highlands, goin' to make that mountain mine" ~ Lakers, 2011

They're still holding teams to a lower FG%. And their struggles are usually tied more to the offensive end than from falling asleep and allowing a million open jumpers on defense. The Lakers have a lot more to prove than Boston this year. |

I am a man of limited superstition and have done this in the game thread for the past three or four games so although it's already been done...
14-1

Lakers played about 75-80% of their potential, but didn't dig themselves into a hole and led most of the game, then turned on the jets to put it away.
I understand that we can't come out and pound teams everyday, so I'll take this over falling behind and having to come back. |

My god, how the hell did that team ever get to the playoffs, let alone have a chance to advance? _________________ *sighs*

Couldn't tune in until Q4 but wow the Bynum/Odom/Ariza/Machine/Farmar lineup looked FANTASTIC on both ends! All five were playing excellent team ball when I tuned in, every one of them. 14-1 baby!!!
Of course I won't comment on the last 3 minutes other than to say the lineup changed in a ball-shrinkingly cringeworthy manner, and I'm glad the Laker fans escaped with free tacos.
Only saw highlights of the first three quarters, it looks like I missed some stellar play by Gasol and Kobe as well.
Now here's hoping the Lakers go unbeaten on this road trip! |

I actually think the Lakers play better on the road than they do at home, because they know on the road they can't get away with some of the nonsense they get away with at home. So beating Toronto was good, but it's time to go 3-0 on this road trip. _________________ The killer in me is the killer in you! |

Kobe Bryant.
what escapes me more is how did he not win MVP? You take him off that squad and LA barely wins 10 games with that year _________________ "I didn't mean to walk in the shower with him. Yeah, I walked in the shower. I'm not a homosexual, but Kobe - he had no clothes on." - Ron Artest |

We won our first 7 games and lost number 8 to Pistons.
Tonight we won 7 straight. Hopefully we win number 8 against the Pacers Tuesday. |
