Star Wars (all of them)
Gone With the Wind
Forrest Gump
Top Gun
Superbad
These are my favorites. I'm propbaby forgetting many others. This list constantly changes. The only one that is consistently in my top 5 is the Star Wars Trilogy. |

I'm going to go with:
Lord of the Rings Trilogy
Last Samurai
Gladiator
Last of the Mohicans
Remember the Titans
I obviously have a soft spot for epic movies that are set in the past. Other movies that deserve honorable mention are:
The Abyss
The Bourne Trilogy
Top Gun
Batman Begins
Spider-Man 2 |

Lots of fun movies, but do I detect a lack of interest in the classics? _________________ “We must always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented.” ― Elie Wiesel |

What movies do you consider to be classics? Casablanca? Godfather? I grew up with Back to the Future and Indiana Jones, so those are "classics" in my book. |

I meant classics in terms of greatness, not necessarily time. I was just noting that some people were taking the term best to be greatest, while others were going more toward favorite. _________________ “We must always take sides. Good point. My list was probably more of a fav 5 list although I do consider LOTR and Gladiator to be among the all-time greats. The other movies are "greats" in my book, but I know they aren't universally considered great movies in other people's eyes. |
