defense against a deft midrange jumpshooting team? Good. Clear improvement from last yr. Lets see how this does vs the CP3 type offenses.
offense is coming around... i think we'll average ~110/gm
Boy is this season going to be worth recording all 98+ games or what?! |

Lakers with only 10 three-pt attempts, making 7. Lakers winning the rebounding, and outshooting the Blazers .468 to .345.
+3 in blocked shots don't hurt anything either!

Henry Abbott liveblogging on ESPN:
Quote: | There is some talk about how much the Blazers have to learn and all that. But I don't take it like that. I take it like young teams run hot and cold, and tonight they ran cold. Roy will play better. Aldridge will play better. They'll figure out the Oden situation. And most importantly, I think this season will prove that the Blazers will have plenty of company in looking bad on this floor against the mighty Lakers. |

At first, I wanted Bynum to crush Oden and make him look bad to make us look good.
Now I just kinda feel sorry for Oden. So injury prone... plus, did anyone notice how ugly he is? I mean... someone call geico. |

Kinda feel bad for him, first game back from a season long injury, and he goes out in the 1st quarter.
Hope he's OK. _________________ John 14:6 - "Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me." |

Any injury updates on Oden? He was beastin' it up despite no points. |

I don't get that beard at all. I mean, he's pretty scary looking as it is, but that beard just magnifies it tenfold. _________________ Jeffs

Geico!
I feel for Oden too, seems like a good kid that is bright. I think they are expecting too much if they think he'll be a 20-10 player. I think 16-14-5 is his ceiling and the 16pts are mostly from Roy lobs. |

Everyone was too early to judge him prior to him playing and everyone is quick to judge him after his 1st game.
He seemed nervous, that's all I can say |
