So Ken couldn't fight Kimbo because of an eye laceration he received during practice.
Here's results for the EliteXC card http://www.sherdog.com/event.php?search=yes&event_id=8189
Oh, Seth Petruzelli (former TUF washout) replaces Ken against Kimbo. If we had spoiler tags I'd spoil the result. Lets just say I hope to see some comments here in a couple hours. |

EliteXC is toast... Their main guy loses in 14 seconds.
It's all a scam.

Oops. I guess I should have come here first.
Yeah, that was beyond pathetic. EliteXC is just a waste of time and is full of hot air. |

Yeah, that jab stunned him on his way down and he could not recover at all. Slice would probably have a better chance in the WWE than as a real fighter. |

was anyone really surprised? kimbo just got exposed, if the ref in his last fight would have done his job this would have been kimbos second loss in a row.....he should go back to knocking guys who dont fight for a living out _________________ "Scoring the ball is pretty much like breathing to me." - Kobe Bryant |

Hey its all good... they still had the afterparty!
Hey Kimbo, nobody wanted to hear you talk after you get knocked out after 7 seconds...
maybe you SHOULD'VE touched gloves at the beginning.
so disappointed to see Ken Shamrock not make the fight... but it was pretty funny that Frank called him out! he said Ken shamed the Shamrock name... _________________ ♪ ♫One good thing about music, when it hits, you feel no pain...

It didn't seem like Kimbo got hit all that hard, but he definitely got dropped by that punch. However, after looking at the replays, it seems that the fight may have been stopped a little too early. When Kimbo went down, the other guy was swing wildly trying to land power shots on the ground, but he never really connected on any of them. Still, it was an embarrassing loss for Kimbo.
On a side note, I was watching the replay of UFC 86, and I must say that I was very impressed with Forrest's victory over Rampage. |

Kimbo was out... you see his legs and arms go stiff and he stops protecting himself. The ref HAS to stop the fight in that circumstance. After the fight, Kimbo spent like a half a minute trying to take down the ref. He was clearly out and unaware of where he was. |

True. That why I said the ref "may" have stopped the fight too early. In the end, it was probably the right decision, but like I said, when you look at the replay, few, if any, of those wild swings actually connected on Kimbo. The only damage that Kimbo took was from that straight right.
Anyway, I think you have to question Kimbo's ability to take a punch after that fight. I'm sure he got hit pretty hard, but there are way harder hitters out there in MMA, which doesn't bode well for Kimbo's future as an MMA fighter. |

True that. And a more accomplished Muy Thai fighter would have just grabbed Kimbo's head (which was down as he was charging in) and given him a mouth full of knee. Dude has NO technique at all. |
