More than Rad, it was his decision to play Luke that cost the lakers. |

Luke should never be at PF when Celtics have KG and Brown in the game, though I understood what Phil was doing by bringing in Rad, because we were down 6 and he wanted to spread the floor. It's not Phil's fault Rad couldn't handle the rebound and knocked it out of bounds. That hurt us, but even more is that we really couldn't score in the 4th quarter, down the stretch or really at all, and we really got forced out of our offense and took bad shots. _________________ !

I'm not really blaming Rad about the rebound either, it was a bam-bam play and just unlucky. _________________ !

Even the greatest stars ever have bad games in the Finals, it's not a big deal as long as we correct it. We need to be more creative offensively, because letting Kobe go to work down the stretch is probably not going to work against the Celtics, who seem to be able to slow him down (in all 3 games we've played this season). _________________ !

im blaming phil completely about that rebound...if you want to put rad in then let lamar get the rebound and sub in rad then...it is pointless to have a shooter in if you can't even get the ball...the bottom line is that phil and kobe need to step up in game 2...i thought lamar and pau were good enough tonight...it was the experienced guys that cost the lakers the game...i don't think boston can play any better than they did tonight though so the lakers know what they are up against and should still win the series in not more than 6 games
phil needs to give serious consideration to replacing luke completely with ariza who is pretty much better than luke in every way other than, possibly, passing...but luke sometimes makes stupid passes so that somewhat offsets his good ones |

Boston can shoot better than they did tonight, so we can't count on them being the same team next game either. We really need to step it up, focus, and implement the game plan, execute the Triangle, move the ball so that Boston wears down as the game progresses chasing us around. _________________ !

Even my 85 year old mother watching the game mentioned how uneven the officiating was--and she isn't even a Laker's fan! |

LOL.. yeah, that's why he was the go to guy for the three peat team in clutch. Kobe doesn't get "confused" or scared..
however, it's pretty simple that he has good games when he makes his decisions quickly.. when he doesn't, holds on to the ball, pump fakes, he takes the team down with him.
But, Phil also put too much pressure on Kobe to create with some of his lineups out there.. Luke is not going to create for this team against this defense.. they did not use Sasha properly... they gave him the ball to create.. and didn't even give him proper screens.
just a bad night for the entire crew. |

there were some bad calls.. but the game really can't be blamed on the refs. |

It never even occurred to me that the refs could have affected the outcome of the game until I came to LG after it was over. I agree, the Celtics beat us tonight the refs aren't responsible. I'm more surprised than usual that some are spinning this tired line. _________________ !
