Rick Fox was on the Loose Cannons the other day, and he said something that really stuck with me: "You don't win an NBA championship, you take it". We can't go in an expect to win this game, we have to take it from them. Taking it means limit turnovers and second chance points, play good defense, and execute. Come out with a lot of energy, because they are supposed to win this game. We have to go in and steal it. _________________ Double rings > Double rainbow |

Winning the championship by taking the champions out is the real way to do it.
Thinking back, we've met the Spurs in the playoffs 6 straight years from 99 to 04. Didn't realize it was so many times. |

Why do I feel like there is no way the lakers can go up 3-0 against the spurs? |

^ Well I'm hoping the Lakers can go up 3-0 by the end of tonight. Anything can happen.
P.S. I only need 1 more post to unlock my avatar =].

I anticipate the Spurs come out early. If we can survive that push I believe we pull it out in close battle. 97- 93 Lakers. |

We didn't meet in 2000. Suns knocked them out in the first round (Duncan didn't play). |

5/6 years. And each year, the winner was the champion (except for '04 when we lost in the Finals). Lakers-Spurs is an underhyped rivalry. It's way bigger than Lakers-Suns/Heat or Spurs-Mavs/Pistons _________________ Double rings > Double rainbow |

Last time the Lakers blew a 2-0 lead in a series? 1969! 28-0.
Couple that with Phil Jacksons 40-0 after winning game 1 of a series. |
