There were a couple of threads on best burritos, pizzas, and burgers so what is your favorite fried chicken place? My personal favorite is Roscoe's House of Chicken 'n Waffles. |

Fried chicken makes me sick....
I've eaten at KFC twice in my life, and both times I hurled.
I try to steer clear of fried chicken the best I can. _________________ Courage doesn't always roar.

Fried Chicken is my favorite food for some reason... and I really don't care where it's from as long as it's Fried Chicken. But if I had to choose, it's easily Popeyes for me. _________________

I worked in the service deli at Vons for 6 years and made fried chicken every day, hence I will never eat it ever again. _________________ Go Lakers

I've never tried Popeyes and I don't think I'll ever do because my friend's dad who is a lawyer defended them when people were finding pubic hairs and toenails in their food. He actually had pics of the evidence and showed it to us one day. Nasty. This was a few years ago in Glendale California. _________________ =======================

Well, eating at KFC is a good way to steer clear of fried chicken.
Seriously, none of these fast food places makes anything resembling good fried chicken. I've heard Roscoe's is not bad, but I've never eaten there. If you want to go out for good fried chicken, you have to visit a place that has a person cooking it who knows what they're doing, not a 16-year-old using an instruction manual.
Frankly, what you really have to do if you want good fried chicken is this. Go to an old Southern woman's house, the older the better, and ask her to make you a plate of fried chicken. Then, once you've tasted how delicious fried chicken can be and how painfully pathetic places like KFC are, you can go to your nearest KFC and set fire to it for slandering the good name of fried chicken. _________________ Game recognize game, Granddad. - Riley Freeman, The Boondocks |

Popeyes ftw.
I'll take Popeyes, but man they are always out of something. If they aren't out of chicken, they are messing up your order. _________________ "It's just a job. Grass grows, birds fly, waves pound the sand. I beat people up."-The Greatest |

KFC by a long shot. I also like Popeye's but only on tuesday when I can get 2 pieces for 99 cents. I find their spicy chicken to be a cheap imitation of the greatness of KFC. It's good though. _________________

Roscoe's, people. They do it right. Just took the family there last night. Yeah, the sides are a little pricey, but something about 1/4 fried chicken, grits, greens, gravy and a biscuit is solid, SOLID comfort food.
Popeye's??? Please. If you can take a thigh piece, rub it on a brick wall, and the grease is enough to create a new freaking window there, it's too greasy. Only kind of chicken greasier than that was ol' Pioneer Chicken. You could light a drusmtick and use it as a torch on Survivor.
KFC is a fond memory of childhood, but when in doubt, go to Roscoe's.
Remember -- chicken, greens, grits and gravy. Can't go wrong. Eating some of the leftovers when I get home.

Fried Chicken is great tasting, but I try to avoid eating it often. It is not the healthiest form of chicken. There is a place in West Covina called Chicken Box. . .it's the best Chicken I've ever had, by far. If you want some juicy great tasting chicken, go there. |

Fried chicken from Albertson's deli is pretty good. Besides that, I've only tried KFC and Popeye's. I prefer Popeye's since it's a cajun style.
Looks like I should go try Roscoe's. _________________ "It's just fo' decoration! That's it and that's all, man; we do it fo' decorations." -Lil Sis |

The only 2 on that list that I've tried are KFC and Roscoe's, and it's no comparison. Roscoe's takes it. |
