^ because cacok is signed as a two-way so he does not take a roster spot and his salary doesn’t count against the salary cap. This is already Damian jones’s 5th year in the league, thus making him ineligible to be signed in a two-way contract. It’s been repeated here in this thread a few times, i hope you understand it now.

It's a good signing not great. He's not a great rebounder and an ok rim protector for his athletic frame. He had a decent 3pt shot at 34% last year, but the attempts were low. They don't have the money to get anything else I guess.

Yup, its a crazy time in the NBA.. We got a prime McGee for a bit over minimum years ago and his corpse just signed a 3 year 20 million dollar deal this off season. Reality is looking bleak for getting great value at Minimum especially.
I'm happy to have Damian back.. This team is at worst going to be much more intriguing and energetic to watch while improving athletically already by leaps and bounds and getting much younger. If we somehow pull off Kyrie... this Season can actually have legitimate potential and we have possible young talent that can turn into good role players going into the future.
Yeah the guy is 7' tall and athletic as heck he's also put in some work on his perimeter shooting. If he continues to improve he could be a steal, however I don't put too much into highlight videos because they are exactly that. He was also on a really bad team that had no pressure. Playing on the Lakers is a pressure cooker and most teams are out to kill you. We need a 6'9" dude that can rebound because this team is going to get destroyed on the boards and that was a big problem last year, and honestly Jones is not a great rebounder. All we have right now is 2 tall athletic guys with a bunch of guards. The team is not balanced the defense and rebounding is going to be a huge problem specially if the scoring is down.
I still think we need one more Big on this roster to completely keep AD out of the paint and complaining.
Dwight is still available, not sure if he comes back or not, but definitely not much out there. I've seen post about T.Bryant, but he wasn't the same after his ACL injury, so I'm not sure about him on this team.
I like the idea of Brown, but he's not better than Jones and Jones would start if he were to be chosen in FA. Dwight maybe our best most affordable option unless a trade gets us back a big!

Either way, welcome back Damian Jones!
Yea, Damian should be a back up, start on a need basis, T.Bryant should be the starter, stretch 5

Depth is the key. I would be thrilled with Jones, Bryant and then still add a vet like Howard or a young developmental Center.
Starting and mpg can be earned by consistent play, injuries or matchups throughout a long season.
For the record, Damian Jones shot 34% from three last season.
When they started him over the last 9 games of the season he put up
17.0 PPG
7.0 RPG
2.0 APG
1.6 BPG
0.7 SPG
72% Field Goal
44% Three Pointer
73.3% Free Throw
With LeBron/Russ/AD feeding him all game. It should come even easier for him. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:
