JEREMY GIAMBI
DEAD AT 47 YEARS OLD
Officials Suspect Suicide
Seems like there's been so much of this in the last couple of years. _________________ You thought God was an architect, now you know

I don't really follow baseball but the name sounds familiar. I know his brother is more famous.

What the hell?
Poor guy, I remember him well and he was a good player himself in his own right despite his brother being on another level. _________________ Love, Laker Lanny |

All these years and I thought it was Jason Giambi that got thrown out by Jeter.

Unfortunately, it is a solution. |
Solution for them. Pain and suffering for others. People who do that don't realize their value with the ones around them.
Only time it seems like is a real solution is for end of life care. Sometimes you need to call it uncle when dealing with something like ALS. |

You can never presume to know the despair and hopelessness that someone feels. Whether another deems it reasonable or not, some people can get trapped in it and no amount of therapy can relieve such a person. A rogue wave of sorts
Judgment from others doesn't help. Neither do platitudes.
Such people have my sympathy. |

Quote: | The harrowing details surrounding Jeremy Giambi’s suicide
Jeremy Giambi shot himself in the chest and left a suicide note, according to an autopsy report obtained by The Post.
The former MLB player, who was a member of the Royals, Athletics, Phillies and Red Sox between 1998 and 2003, died by suicide this past February.
The autopsy report, filed by the Los Angeles County Department Of Coroner, says the cause of death for Giambi was a gunshot wound to the heart. According to the report, Giambi was found dead by his mother, who had been taking care of her grandchildren, on Feb. 9.

The report also stated that Giambi had a history of drug use (methamphetamine and Percocet), which began in the 1990s and culminated in a trip to rehab in 2014-15. He was not believed to have been using drugs recently, a witness told investigators.
Giambi was hit in the head by a baseball last year while serving as a pitching coach, and suffered a broken zygomatic bone.
The report said that since that incident Giambi “had not been the same since and was very negative, emotional and paranoid since the head injury.”

The gun used in the incident was a Winchester Model 94AE Level action repeating rifle.
Foul play was not suspected in Giambi’s death.

Ouch. I went to High School with the Giambi bros. and my sister went to school with their younger sister as well.
Star athletes all their lives and had the world at their fingertips.
