Bad Shooter for a Bad Shooter (albeit younger/taller that doesn’t respond well to pressure or accountability) |

Why would they? Maybe for Rich Paul, but not for basketball reasons… _________________ What I'm doing right now, I'm chasing perfection.

This rumor was probably started by Philly to drive up value for BS |

That’s exactly it, Morey values Ben Simmons a lot more then he values Westbrook he wants picks and pick swaps in any Simmons trade which we don’t have, the Lakers aren’t interested in Ben Simmons.. if anything they are interested in Jerami Grant and Joe Harris.. the mid tier talent types that won’t force us to give up the farm. |

I'll only do the trade if they include Seth Curry on the deal...
Simmons/Curry for Westbrook+2 first round |

I don't think it's realistic because no one wants Westbrook |

Only possible if Philly hires RB as their GM....no idiot is trading for westbrook at that price...
Simmons would fit in amazingly....he will help ADand Bron a lot by his playmaking/defense/rebounding.
He is wfficient scorer compared to Russ and plays with better IQ |

Sixers wouldn’t trade Curry alone for Westbrook. Lakers aren’t getting anything of value for RW. They don’t want him for the same reason we don’t want him. |

Kuzma AND Harrell AND KCP AND 1st round pick.
Just stupid. Magic Johnson level trade. |

bad shooter vs worse shooter* a scared one no less | Agree
Rather have a player trying to make a basket while within 1-2 feet away from the basket, as oppose to one who passes the ball despite having no player in front of him while he is within 1-2 feet
Do we want a player who refuses to work on his very real weaknesses while criticizing those that state the obvious
The great ones always welcome challenges and always improving their game. NBA is filled with many players with Uber athletic skills but fell far short of their potential that is unwilling to work/improve their game
Maybe a John Wall for Simmons trade will eventually happen |

Didn't Simmons want to be a Laker when he got drafted? |

Who cares the dude is a quitter. A quitter that can't shoot and doesn't play hard.
I get the complaints about the value given away in the Westbrook trade. It is arguable. But the Westbrook is trash stuff is crazy talk. He clearly had too many TOs and doesn't shoot well, but the dude rebounds and always plays hard. Simmons isn't fit to carry Westbrook's jock. |

Trading Westbrook for Simmons is NOT an upgrade, in my opinion.
Only advantage is age and contract size...Simmons is younger and can be taught to get better, and his contract is easier to stomach, by a little bit. |

You lose a bit of Scoring but you gain in every other aspect of the game. with AD/BRON/Ben in the line up we can have 2 bad defenders and still get away with it. |

Is the talk of convincing the Pelicans to let us use the 2026 1st round pick real or just speculation on your part? If we can involve 2 1st round picks we just might find a taker for Westbrook |
