It’s funny how Westbrook and Rondo are polar opposites despite playing the same position and both being future HoFers. One is a freak athlete with a low basketball IQ. The other has pedestrian (now subpar) athleticism but is a basketball genius.
Neither one can shoot. _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:

It's so blatantly obvious from the get go this season it's a horrible mix, period. A few cross over minutes is fine especially without Bron but anything more then that is just kind of mind boggling.. We still have a ton of potential lineups to run out there and we def. need a legit perimeter threat/cutter much more then anything Rondo brings when Westbrook is in the game.
The rest of any lineup problems I have I can at least fully understand to feeling things out early but this one... not so much.

Tonight for example against the Spurs, Westbrook & Rondo were -18 together, so you’d probably be drunk right now!
Considering we barely won by 4, if Frank had not played that lineup, we might’ve won by 14, double digits.
That backcourt lineup was the one giving up the lead.
Which brings the question, what do we do with Nunn?
Nunn plays non-WB minutes with LBJ on the floor. Rondo should only be for emergencies or when LBJ/WB take nights off. _________________ Luxury Tax/FA Spreadsheet (Save to your Google Drive to edit)
I don't know if it's Rondo and Westbrook, as much as it's Rondo himself. His defense hasn't been good and his offense hasn't been in line with the team as much.
Yesterday when Rondo was trying to run the O, he had issues getting the players the ball and in the right spots. There's a lot of confusion with Rondo. Which is uncharacteristic as he's a great point guard in that regard.
This is about reps, the lineups need more reps with Rondo as the PG. Just like they needed time with Westbrook. And Rondo needs to wake up a bit. He's coasting a bit. It's obviously not the playoffs.
However when Nunn is back, I would like Rondo to only play when we need some floor general to stabilize the team. The funny thing is that thus far Rondo hasn't brought stability. The opposite actually.
When Rondo gets his flow again, I think he would make Westbrook or any lineup work. I'm sure of it, because Rondo can hit spot up 3s and has great passing vision. It's that I don't see Rondo doing much good out there with anyone at the moment. His D has been atrocious, and his offense, the timing of his passes haven't been there. He's not been in sync even with AD. I think Rondo barely played basketball the last 1 year if you look at his game logs. After a consistent PT year with the Lakers, he went to ATL and didn't play regularly and then same with Clippers. I would be surprised if he's in the game shape he needs to be.
Rondo/WB/Andre Jordan lineup early in the killed all the momentum they built to end the 3rd.
They are short handed today, I am not sure he could’ve done anything unless you want IT to come in and defend. The issue was why he put rondo on DDR as primary defender for a few possessions
