If Kostas is making strides developing under Phil Handy it's certainly not showing on the court. |

Jazz win 111-97
Jazz would lead wire to wire in this one. They came to play with everyone, except Mitchell.
Early on Lakers would make it interesting. In the second quarter, trailing by 5, there was a nice setup for a lob to Dre who took it...and jammed it on the rim. A few plays later Jazz would be up by 12. Lakers never really got close after that. Got to within 9, then 10 at the half. But as the third quarter opened, best lakers could do was get within 9, then the Jazz opened the flood gates, got lead up to 20ish...game over.
You knew it would be tough when, at the half, Lakers were shooting 9-18 from 3, but still losing by 10. Reason? They were shooting just above 30% from 2.
Jazz crushed the paint, 52-36. Ended up shooting 57% for the game (45% from 3). Lakers were given zero, and I mean zero, reprieve in this game. The Jazz were out to smash them, and did.
Solid scoring games from Kuz and DS were unfortunately wasted, as was a 5-7 from 3 game by KCP. THT had a career high 24, leading the team in scoring.
Ugly game, however, overall. The team just seemed to lose steam as the Jazz attacked. Unlike most games, the Lakers D got worse as the game went along.
Welp, onto the next. Mavs are up next in a two game set, and hopefully the Lakers can get at least 1 from them. _________________ "One thing I admire about Kuzma is his unwavering confidence. He truly has no idea that he’s not as good as he thinks." - Killer_Z |

Now that this one is out of the way, hopefully AD is back next game and we can at least maybe start looking competent against legit NBA starting lineups. |

I don't want him back until the last 10 of the season. We've lost the number 1 seed, let him and LBJ rest till near seasons end. There are what, 14 to go? Keep them out until the last 8 - 10. Won't take long for them to shake the rust. _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Lakers has a better chance winning in their first game as Mavs is playing the 2nd day of their back2back games. And most likely AD will return. Banking for the Lakers to take this one. But Harrell @C make me think twice |

well they've already been saying they've been hoping for a return of AD during the Dallas game. They've both gotta get back in game shape in fact that's what Vogel said about AD today, his health is fine but his conditioning needs work. They've both been on the shelf a long time... |

And also I'm less worried about Anthony and Lebron shaking off the rust, than the rest of the team acclimating to playing with them plus Drum |

Good point. I don't think the rest of the team will be a problem. They've been there, done that. Andre, maybe. _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

I thought it was very dumb to not play Gasol last night against Gobert, it’s exactly what we needed to draw him away from rim so the penetration coulda scored. Marc has been hot from 3 & Frank needs to play Trez at PF with Marc that way they both get minutes & help with rebounding... Poor decision Frank, very poor! _________________ My Laker squad.

AD has completely owned Rudy in their matchups, I see it playing out the same if they meet in the post season. Lakers in 5. |

I don't know how to judge Frank. He sometimes looks like Gregg Popovich others like Byron Scott. I've never liked his rotations. Many in my crew think we need a new coach. _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Man the guy wins you a championship and people still are not satisfied. I thought we were over this rollercoaster of hiring coaches? Vogel is far from the problem, and his rotations are always set in stone when the playoffs start.
Remember when they were saying teams have only 13-14 practices throughout the whole season and these regular season games are practices for the guys. With the incoming players plus adjusting to a massive amount of injuries I think Vogel did as good as any coach would do in those circumstances. Matter of fact, I think he exceeded expectations. |

No, I wouldn’t go that far I think he’s the perfect coach for this team. But I believe even he said we coulda used Gasol vs Gobert, but didn’t! Frank, does an awesome job adjusting in a series but he’s made minimum mistakes during the season matching up. Like I said there’s no harm in playing Trez at PF when Gasol is on the floor, just need 3 of the hotter shooters on floor at the time.
My BIGGEST CONCERN is AD being able to play rest of year!!! We’ll see right away if he’s hindered or able. My other concern is Dennis remaining hot from 3 pt line, if so I’m good with AC & THT closing out the year providing KCP is warming up... 👍 _________________ My Laker squad.

AD's always been fragile. In the past, it's been freak injuries which is why I don't consider him injury prone. My concern is is he able to take the reins and lead the team to a ship.
Dennis has never be a prolific 3 point shooter. His strengths are running the offense an driving to the rim.
AC & THT are what they are, inconsistent. KCP is the X factor. If he can get and stay hot it will take a lot of pressure off of LBJ.
I'd give KUZ more PT.
Of course, LBJ has to be healthy. I have a gut feeling he's ready to go but Frank's waiting until the last minute to put him in. LeBron is the key.
I won't go as far as replacing him. I've always disliked his rotations. I don't think he's mastered the right combinations. _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.
