This hard cap crap, makes me wonder how long the Lakers can continue to pull rabbits out of their hats, given the hit and misses we go through....off season will be interesting as always... _________________ Lakers need to build a freaking team ! |

Injuries suck. Few teams haven't been affected by serious injuries this year. |

Would be nearly impossible for the Warriors to pull it off unless they trade almost all their roster.
Warriors would be hard-capped if they received any player in a S&T.
Curry, Klay and Kawhi would put them about ~$120 in salary. |
Well, Curry, Klay and Wiggins already put them at $115 million in salary next year so if they trade Wiggins and Looney it's really no difference. |
It seems they would have to trade everyone making any money including Draymond/Wiseman and possibly their 1st rounder. And the Minny lottery pick if they get it this year.
To fit Curry/Klay/Kawhi under the hard cap it would be hard to have anybody else making more than the minimum. Depending what the luxury tax and tax apron are set to. |

Still think the deal gets done if Kawhi wants to come. Seen it over and over and over again in the league. Clippers would rather get something for Kawhi than to let him walk and get nothing in return.
And Warriors would get players on the cheap and use their exceptions to fill out the roster. _________________ "Every hurt is a lesson, and every lesson makes you better”

3 guys all with heavy injury history now on the back ends of there prime. I'd say that's a recipe for disaster and the Warriors front office is likely smarter then that. 5 years ago that would probably be worth the gamble to get them all together but not on 2022. |

Neither Steph nor Kawhi look like they're on the backend of their prime. Klay we don't know cause we haven't seen him yet. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

Steph & KL look really good for sure. Still, I would not sell my team to
"see" "IF" KL comes to a team...He should just stay where he is, bad
look what he did the past off season with the teams he flirted with. IF
I were a league GM, that would certainly make me pause. _________________ Lakers need to build a freaking team ! |

Yeah, they both look great for sure but I would 100% not bank my team on those three and a bunch of minimums.. Good luck keeping those 3 healthy for the full year while maintaining a solid record. |

Steph-Klay-Kawhi-Draymond (this is even more insane than nets)
Harden-Kyrie-KD-Harris
LeBron-AD-DS-AD2 (gotta keep them)

One is not like the other 2 imo.
If it was 30 year old Lebron...for sure. Not age 37 Lebron. |

Who's more dangerous a 37 year old Bron or a 34 year old Steph? |

I don’t see it as an indictment on Lebron. He has to do so much more than Steph. Their games are different.
You would need AD to be the best player in the game IMO. Those other stars rely on their 3 point shooting.
I think a better comparison is 37 year old Lebron vs. 30 year old Kawhi. |

Ok...I was just asking because Steph is somewhat fragile, KD has an Achilles tendon surgery tear to deal with from now on and you mentioned Kawhi who has a degenerative condition to deal with. |

No doubt. This is assuming no injuries and career to date for all those stars.
It’s funny that teams stack the deck against grandpa Lebron. It’s wild. |

Impossible. Folks not looking at the math at all. Duh. Typical.
These 4 players are still under contract next season:
Curry $45 mill
Klay $37 mill
Wiggins $31 mill
Green $24 mill
Toal $137 mill + other players |

Right, if he didn't want to form a super team on the Lakers, why would he go to the already established previous super team Warriors. Just doesn't make sense.
Seems like a lot of one sided interest. That doesn't correlate into interest from the other party. Usually that's how FA works where all teams are "interested" in the star FA. _________________ “You can't be held captive by the fear of failure or the fear of what people may say.” - Kobe Bryant |

Only way that would happen is if Kawhi said he's leaving the Clippers and the Warriors throw them a bone that they can lose Kawhi for nothing or take Wiggins in a Sign and Trade. I'd assume that would be the plan, or something like that. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:
