I think it’s too early for the awards except sixth man and most improved.
Clarkson is the best 6th man in the league this season.
Randle for MIP. No one will catch him. |

Embiid for MVP given stats and seeding. His midrange numbers for his size are borderline silly. He's either having a bubble-Murray outlier year or the league should be worried. |

MVP -- Lebron, though the voters may talk themselves into voting for Embiid. This is what baseball writers used to call the Mickey Mantle syndrome.
RoY -- Lamelo, easily.
DPoY -- Gobert, though Simmons seems to have a lot of support.
SMoY -- Clarkson.
CoY -- Probably Snyder, but a lot depends on final regular season results.
MIP -- Randle. _________________ Internet Argument Resolved |

Depends on who I think should win vs will win.
These are a lock barring any weird circumstances:
6th man - Clarkson
MIP - Randle
ROY - Lamelo |

Harden - 25.8 ppg, 11.2 apg, 8.1 rpg
Jokić - 27.2 ppg, 11.1 apg, 8.6 apg
James Harden backs himself for MVP after another huge performance for Brooklyn Nets
Quote: | "Do I feel like I belong in it? I feel like I am the MVP," the Brooklyn Nets star said. "I mean, it's just that simple. I don't want to be speaking individually on myself. I am just going to leave it at that."
When asked to bolster his MVP case, Harden chuckled and added: "Numbers are showing it for itself, and we're winning. That's all I can say." |

It's gonna be a two-way race between Harden and Jokic now. I tend to go towards Jokic considering how Harden started the season with the Rockets, but you could make a case both ways
DPOY - Gobert or Simmons
ROY - Edwards
6MOY - Clarkson
MIP - Randle _________________ #18 next... |

So easy to dislike this dude.. I love how he flat out calls himself the MVP then follows it by saying he doesn't want to speak on himself. Do one or the other.. Now he's even flip flopping simple media questions. |

It's obviously LeBron. The Lakers with LeBron and no AD can dispute the 1st seed. The Lakers without LeBron wouldn't even enter in the playoffs |

AD might kill what mvp chance he got left, if AD comes back before Lebron and Lakers start winning games. |

Lebron won't win anything big given the time missed, but I hope he can grab a 3rd team All-NBA for #17. |

Ben Simmons takes shot at Rudy Gobert in DPOY race: 'He’s not guarding everybody ... I had 42'
Quote: | But Ben Simmons isn't far behind in the race and made his case for the hardware during an appearance on ESPN's "The Jump" on Tuesday. The Philadelphia 76ers guard touted his versatility in an interview with host Rachel Nichols. He couldn't resist taking a shot at Gobert in the process.
"I’m one of those guys who can guard one through five," Simmons said. "Obviously, there’s a lot of respect for Rudy. I know what he’s capable of. I know he’s great down there in the paint.
"But he’s not guarding everybody, and that’s just what it is. He guarded me in Utah. I had 42. And apparently I’m not a scorer. It is what it is." |
