After being upset all season about losing Dwight, did we quite possibly upgrade by getting Drummond? _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:

Dwight, he's cheaper, he defend really well, and doesn't need touches. Rebound can be worst with Dwight but the drop off isn't that bad. Did you see how he block Trez? he block like 2 shot while playing for like 2 minutes. Guy was a legit DPOY. We can't cry over spill milk, lets hope this work out.

The possibility of being an upgrade without a doubt. Only time will tell for sure but i'd personally go with Drummond over Dwight this season quite easily.
Hard to tell yet. On the surface I'd say Drummond, as he's younger, more athletic and has proven he can put up greater stats right now, but I'll watch a few games first and see his fit. I'm confident _________________ #18 next...

The depth at Center, once our biggest problem, is now arguably one of our biggest strengths. We can go defensive-minded with Drummond, offensive-minded with Harrell, or a mixture of both in Gasol. _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:
Drummond has more weapons and ability on offense at this point in his career, as Dwight while still very athletic was not in his prime.
Defensively though, it will be hard to find a player as good as Dwight. He is one of the best at his position, ever. Very good hands, great post base, great at man D.
What Drummond brings though, will allow this team to be physical again, like we did with Dwight. With Marc, we became perimeter and finesse. Now we can be both, physical with Drummond, and then finesse and perimeter based with Marc.
Not a single team in the league has the big man talent we have. AD (career 29 ppg playoff scorer), Drummond (15 points a night career, 2 time all-star), Trez (6MOTY scoring machine) and Marc (Former DPOTY, high IQ perimeter 5).
We literally would have the best bigman rotation in the NBA, and that is not counting Kieff, who is an option at 4 as a stretch 4 as well. We will not play small anymore, or play with a lack of physical style.
We should be one of the most physical, big teams again, with a rotation of AD/AD, Gasol/Trez, AD3/Trez, Gasol/AD3 etc.
Only concern is what we do on rotations with teams that have 3 point shooting at the 4. AD3 is good at closing out on shooters and rotating. But for Trez, it could be a struggle.
If Drummond is smarter than a rock, he will already be an upgrade over Dwight, who has morphed into basically a troll/meme at this point. Orlando Dwight is a different conversation, but the current version of Dwight is in no way better than Drummond in terms of the way the game is played now.

That meme layup play is so over blown. It was a either a dump off to McGee or under scoop layup that got deflected. Look more like a dump off pass.

Dwight and only because we already knew what he'd provide. The fit was already there and we don't know if and how long it will take Drummond
One thing I like about Drummond that will help this team a lot, he gets almost 5 offensive rebounds per game. Specially with all the bricks we been laying lately.
Also almost 2 steals per game for a big along with block shots. He might be a bad pick n roll defender but hoping Vogel can fix that.

Big thing with Dwight is where his head is at. He was a handful even during the title run, and now, with his ring, not sure he has the locked in hunger. I think Drummond is giving up money for his best chance at a ring and is going to be locked in. _________________ “We must always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. a few games? Assuming you mean when bron and AD are back.
I would say for regular season, easily Drummond. But for playoff when Davis is on that beast mode and play most at the 5, Dwight might play better in that situational role neutralizing guys like Jokic and Embiid.

I keep seeing people blowing that up.. Don't get me wrong he played solid defense but in no way whatsoever was he coming close to neutralizing Jokic especially after the first couple games when Jokic was just basically laughing at him when he tried to play "mind games" a lot like what just happened with him and Trezz. He was a time bomb ready to go off at any moment all Playoffs. He has a solid part in bringing us a Championship but let's not overstate what he brought that much.
