Yeah, that’s why he is best suited as an offense weapon off the bench, and Vogel needs to be smarter not matching him up with a big guy like Jordan or Lopez. I think he played well in general, the energy is there |

DS and AD are huge. That said I think it’s fine to grab a couple more guys who can contribute. I’m not saying cousins or anyone else is the answer, but at this point why not take a chance. |

Or start THT and let him learn from his mistakes |

Waived Cook.
So a signing is coming. Likely Boogie. If we get Boogie and keep him away from the Nets, Celtics and Clippers, I'll be happy. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

Everyone laughed when I said 3-8 was coming. It’s worse 2-9. Cousins is an ok pick up. Much more would’ve preferred Bamba but I get it. Unfortunately we probably need more than that if it just Boogie. One thing for sure GASOL HAS TO SIT. His minutes should go to Boogie. They’re both prettty bad defensively but Boogie at least plays with an edge and is much better offensively. |

You'd either, really have to have not paid attention to the actual stats Gasol puts up defensively(or just ignored them) if you think Gasol's bad defensively.
Boogie is a far worse defender than Gasol. It'd be smarter to play Boogie off the bench and move Harrell to the 4, at least till AD gets back. Then you can move Kuzma to the backup 3, and have Wes and THT battle for those minutes. Unless we wind up moving Wes too. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

Wow! Really wanted to keep him long enough to be a seat filler for when we visit President Biden to commemorate our 20’ Championship
So far it’s Lebron, AD, Kuz, KCP, AC, Kieff, Dudley, THT, Cacok, Kostas. I guess that’s enough but probably the smallest NBA Championship group to visit the White House.
Anyways Rob ain’t playing around and getting smacked by the Wiz tonight probably got him wheelin’ and dealin’ on the phones non stop. |

Vogel’s first mistake is his starting and closing lineup. I’ll take Lebron and Kuz, but put in THT for Matthews, Harrel for Gasol, and DS for a slumping KCP. Those are our most talented 5. THT is raw, but learning. Why not try it for a bit while we wait for AD? |

Lakers to waive Quinn Cook, unlikely to reunite with DeMarcus Cousins
Quote: | There are no immediate plans to fill Cook’s roster spot, and multiple people with knowledge of the situation said they don’t expect the Lakers to reunite with Houston center DeMarcus Cousins if he becomes available as expected. The team will, however, monitor the buyout and trade markets for potential additions to their frontcourt.
Sacramento center Hassan Whiteside, who is averaging 8.3 points, 5.7 rebounds and 1.3 blocked shots in 14-1/2 minutes per game, is a possible target the team could pursue. |

Not sure Oladipo can stay healthy. I'd be wary trading for him. _________________ "Every hurt is a lesson, and every lesson makes you better” |

LG just has no regard for the salary cap and how trades work.
Besides, I think fans should let go of the idea of Kuz getting traded.
I'd bet a substantial amount thats not happening. _________________ Everyting negative - pressure, challenges - is all an opportunity for me to rise.

I'd want Whiteside if he's bought out. He hasn't played much so he should be fresh (Lakers are tired and need energy). He's still a good rim protector. And I can see Bron making him serviceable on the offensive side of the ball. |

Was that before Dennis was out? With Dennis I don’t think we go 3-8 though. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

I think we will end up signing/trading for a minimum of 2 more players, with 3 being a possibility.
1 for Cook's spot. Might be Boogie.
1 with the open spot that is prorated for a vet min on 2/24.
And if a good person is bought out, McKinnie + 2nd for cap space so we can sign that person. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

There isn’t a team in the league who would survive losing their 2nd and 3rd best player |

Thank you. Can you post this all in caps for those who have a hard time reading?
You nailed it. Any other team would be the same or worse. Thankfully we at least have Lebron James. |

Crazy thing is we lost to the Heat by 2. Then we took a hot Wiz team to OT. Without our 2nd/3rd best players. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

Hoping Ariza gets bought out if I'm being realistic. And if I'm not, hoping Drummond gets bought out to be a rich man's McGee. Another big, powerful body for Jokic & Gobert would be nice. My hindsight glaasses make me wish Myles Turner had been a target when his stock was low Still hard to believe the Celtics didn't want him. |

What was the Slippers record when they were without George Paul and #2? |

My best guesses....
Cook's spot will be for a backup true center. I think we will look at guys like Boogie, Dedmon. Not a buyout guy at this point as the deadline is another month away.
2nd spot (prorated vet min on 2/24): we may just keep that open for a buyout and wait.
This doesn't discount possible trades and such. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |
