The Los Angeles Lakers are waiving guard Quinn Cook, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium. Teams are expected to express interest in Cook, who has served as a reliable guard and locker room voice for two title teams in LA and Golden State. |

There is, 2 open spots now | they should waive Matthews as well |
And waste a roster spot? |

Yep. We can’t replace Matthew’s salary. We are hard capped. Cutting Quinn’s non guaranteed contract gets us more salary cap space to fit maybe an extra prorated minimum. We CANNOT (as in are not allowed) to exceed the hard cap, not even with minimum salaries, so we needed to cut Quinn to get more space. |

Yeah, so he is staying unless there is a trade |

Pelinka was saving this cut and roster pick-up to take attention off a bad loss. True PR maestro

Without AD and DS? Of course not. Losing a top five guy in the nba and your only guard who can create offense for himself who isn’t a 20 year old who makes a crap ton of mental mistakes hurts really, really badly. |

Gasol was gassed but he still played in the OT over Harrell. I think Boogie gets announced tomorrow, officially signing 2/24....hopefully DS does as well. |

I like Harrell and hope he’s a Laker for years to come but something tells me that Vogel doesn’t like him and will ask Pelinka to test the trade market for him. |

He has his limitations. What he scores, he gives some or sometimes all back. His defensive awareness and technique is probably not endearing to Vogel.
He is what he is honestly. |

No doubt. It’s funny that the Mavs think they will get someone to take an injury prone player owed that much money. |

Yeah that is actually what Vogel alluded to during the post game he thought Gasol was better suited to be out there but that doesn’t mean crap, you can’t take a guy out when he has 26 points especially when our offense was struggling.. |
