One thing that is certain is that Trump's year long talks about how Biden was senile or confused should clearly be disproven at this point. Trump looks like the one confused compared to Biden, he has no grasp on reality. |

Biden unfortunately fell into the “what have you done in past joe?” Trap...id focus on trumps inability to have a healthcare plan and stimulus bill |

Trump "the least racist person in the room" also happens to be the least credible person in the room, so we can't take him at his word anymore, unfortunately. |

Two old white guys looking to run this country, again...nevertheless, I'm going with Biden.
Trump is an evil idiot...and so are his supporters.

I love when Trump tries to rephrase everything Biden says in real time but changes it severely and tries to say "THIS IS A BIG STATEMENT" |

I wish bidens preppers would have him stop answering trumps qs
Simple retort is “moderator do we get to ask questions now?”
And if she says yea ok fine but you can neutralize the q posed to you (since its likely on a tough q they know for you) ask your own |

Yeah, he is totally a bad faith actor, so responding to him is useless. |

My take using basketball analogy:
Decent back and forth game until about the second quarter where Biden turned it up a notch for a good 15-20 minutes, and this spilled over into the 3rd. Went on a 20-0 run. As it continued, in about the 4th Biden started to relax a bit, Trump made a mini run.
Final score:
Biden 103
Trump 92
11 point win for team Biden, bench players got some time. |

I guarantee though more than a few media talking heads will say something to the effect of Trump having a “new tone” tonight. They never learn. He didn’t rub feces all over his face and rave like a lunatic, suddenly he’s got a “new tone.” |

Than his previous debate? Yeah, I agree with that.
Not better than Biden, especially not on substance. He seemed to dodge way more questions and lied a lot more. Trying to twist Biden's words in real time is a bad look, or it should be.
Straw men being created in real time, not on a facebook comment thread, is a wild thing to see, and bad for a presidential debate. Or at least it should be. In debates at any other level its bad.
Showing restraint when that is done to you shows Biden has good composure, which is the sort of thing that I value in positions that wield considerable authority. |

Doesn't really matter what any of us may think about who "won", but I am certain that Trump will get a boost out of this debate. Compared to the last one, he was much more composed and managed to land a few blows whether or not everyone agrees on the substance of them. _________________ You thought God was an architect, now you know

Yeah, he was disciplined in his demeanor (relative to his norm), and that’s all the bar he probably had to pass to get a bump. _________________ “We must always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented.” ― Elie Wiesel |

Biden: “You’ve got 525 kids who have no idea where their parents are or where in Gods name they’re going to be.”
Trump: “Good.”
Count me out forever. Does anyone outside of Trump's base like anything he said today? I can't imagine this was reaching anyone outside of his dependable deplorables. |

No doubt Biden's best moments were when he pivoted off the back and forth and focused in on the substantive points of actual policy. _________________ You thought God was an architect, now you know

I don’t think this debate moves the polls at all. Trump would have had to destroy Biden to make any significant movement, and that didn’t happen. Not acting like a raving lunatic while you lie and say crazy (bleep) like accusing immigrants who show up to hearings as having a low IQ or commenting about kids stripped from their families “good” isn’t having an impact on anyone that wasn’t already voting for Trump. On the other side Biden once again put to rest any notion of “sleepy Joe” or that he’s too old to stand up for himself in this debate. So in the end this doesn’t move the needle at all, especially given how many people have already voted.
