Lebron and AD went off. Rondo/Morris were huge off the bench. Kuz was 6/7 from the floor. Lakers shot well from 3. And it was a close game instead of a blowout. It kinda feels we were lucky to win.
I say this because the Lakers can play better defensively. Rockets get wide open 3's all game is not good defense unless Westbrook is shooting them. Rockets getting wide open corner 3's all game is not good defense. Rockets gameplan is to shoot 3's all game. The Lakers guarded them like they wanted them to shoot.
Vogel is a defensive coach. He needs to get a hold of this series on that end. Offensively if you don't play a center then Lebron/AD are going to get it done. |

If Rondo can keep playing like that, we will this series in 5 |
I might start Markief instead of Kuz but yeah I think that's the right decision. If we do need one more guy, Dudley. |

Look at the Rockets shot chart. All in the paint and 3-pt line absolutely nothing in between, Vogel and staff should be able to develop something to shut this down.

Well bright side is that Rockets had to make 22 3s just stay in that game. If they hit even only 20 would have been a blow out. |

I would start Dwight and not get sucked into Rockets small ball |

It's sad to say that Lakers will live and die with rondo now. It's up to how he will play. If he is playing good the Lakers has a chance, if he is playing bad, he will take the Lakers down with him. Can't believe this is happening.
He has jump shots today that went in. The question is will he conaistently hit that shot? Rockets is gambling on him by leaving hin wide open in the perimeter just to help defend other Lakers players.

Didn't that already happen with 8 minutes for McGee and 0 for Dwight? _________________ Previously LBJ23 |

Well it was small ball that made the big lead tonight with Morris at the 5 and it was big ball that lost the lead in the 3rd with all the threes. |

I didnt see much of the third but you beat the zone / make it unusable f youre hitting long range jumpers - and i see from the stats rockets were doing that. |
Lakers started the game playing man, zone, man, zone. I think the zone they played was box and 1. It was effective and shut down the 3. _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

yeah pretty much and Javale hurt his ankle so who knows if he would of gotten more burn if he didn't go down.
But Im with J, I'd like to see Dwight get some burn even if its just 3-5 mins to give PJ Tucker some resistance and free up AD a bit ππͺππͺππͺ |

Just updated the injury thread. Waiters they are waiting to see how he feels tomorrow. McGee is going to have an MRI. So nothing conclusive on either yet. |

35 years old. 17 years in the league. A million minutes, games, buckets and assists later and the guy still has his head above the rim.

It really isnβt that difficult, they acquired Morris because they want him to be that stretch 4 or 5 alongside of AD, then give him the (bleep) minutes like tonight. I hope from here on out half of Kuzβs minutes goes to Morris. |

Lakers need to just play smarter on D. Only double off of Westbrook. Don't double Harden until he has put the ball down. We have been reckless on D are are really lucky.
I'd actually like to see the Lakers not double Harden at all. He has shown he runs our of gas and making him work for his points and then work on D is a winning strategy. |

Morris and Kuz both need to take all of Javale/Dwight's minutes. If that happens there are plenty of minutes for both. Kuz played poor defensively, but he had done great in the bubble prior. In my opinion Kuz has earned his minutes. |

Thatβs the effect of the bubble, role players shoots worse on the road, but the bubble is like practice court, so their role players are shooting without pressure, I wish I could say the same about ours |
This is a real thing Iβve noticed. Role players shooting a lot better in the bubble, but ours arenβt hitting at higher %. Donβt necessarily need them to with LBJ and AD but we canβt have it be disastrous low %. |

This is the key. Lebron and AD needs to go off every night in order to ease the pressure on others. Play with great defense and PACE PACE PACE PACE!! _________________ Let's Go Lakers!!! |
