Bad enough for Vogel to try and integrate Waiters and JR, but putting them in lineups with players who aren’t even part of the normal rotation like Cook and THT who likely won’t even get playoff mins, doesn’t help them nor the team, and is doing the complete opposite by killing team chemistry. _________________ Tacos |

I don't mind the experimentation. I actually like it. When you have the one seed locked up, you have the leeway to do so. I don't even mind the horrendous shooting numbers, as I believe that will take a positive regress to means.
What I do find EXTREMELY concerning is the absolute discombobulation on offense. I had assumed that over the course of the season...limited though it was...that the coaches would have implemented some consistent half court plays. Apparently, i assumed incorrectly. _________________ ZOOM!!!!!!!!!!!! |

Our starting pg is not playing the rest of the season. Our 'backup' pg is out for another month or so. Consequently, our bench 2 guard is the in the starting 5.
Experimentation was bound to happen.
Our problem is not Vogel trying to see what he's got in Dion or JR... our problem is nobody hitting shots. AC has been cold. Danny has been awful. KCP has been bad. Bradley is gone. Dion is missing them and JR is missing them.
If we're an above average 3 point shooting team, paint unclogs, LeBron and room to get to the basket, and the ball starts swinging creating mismatches. |

Experimenting is good. Who knows? Maybe it's those three Quinn Cook's threes that give energy and life back to the Lakers shooting. If that's the case, hand the MVP trophy to Quinn Cook for saving the team. |

Another overreaction thread, we were the hottest team before the Covid pause. We lost our backup PG, as annoying. As Rondo is he was our backup point guard. We aren't shooting the ball well right now etc.
Rotations will shorten, and LeBron will play more minutes. It is also tough to be motivated when you already have the number one seed, and HCA is non-existent. I'm not judging this team until I see your games of playoff basketball. People need.to realize the SUNS are the hottest team right now. Are any of you scared of the SUNS in a seven game series? _________________ The most important shot in basketball. |

We have limited assets and this is a good way to increase his trade value. |

I tend to agree that too much experimenting is not a good thing. I don't think this team is good enough to "turn on the switch." Hope I'm wrong...but when you lose your best perimeter defender and your back-up PG...your'e not going to be as good as you were...so IMO it's key to develop, not experiment as a team with the guys that are going to be playing. The way I see if I think we're going to have our hands full with Portland if we play them in the first round. Lillard and McCollum are ballin not to mention Trent...I know they don't really have an answer to Bron and AD...although getting Nurkic back for them really helps. |

try telling bron he doesn't have a switch. hahaha jk.
experiments can be a good thing. especially when it gets a little messy.
indirect way of saying put up or shut up, know your role and don't think too much. before playoffs if you follow up with a strong leader to bring them together. everyone might stop disagreeing with, and make the most of their rotation minutes. _________________ KOBE!!! |

With Kuzma getting more minutes, you'll see him out there closing with Green and either KCP or Caruso more often. Hopefully the experiments are over and next game is something like:
James 38/Caruso 10
KCP 26/Waiters 12/Caruso 10
Kuzma 20/Green 28
Davis 20/Kuzma 12/Morris 16
McGee 14/Howard 18/Davis 16
With James defending forwards, you can slide Morris out for more minutes for Waiters and Caruso if you'd rather cut the rotation down.

I think today was a good indicator of our final 9-man rotation of LeBron, AD, Kuz, Caruso, KCP, Danny, Javale, Dwight, and Dion.
I think there will be some spot minutes for Morris if there are extra minutes to go around. |

Yeah, I think Morris would get some minutes against the smaller teams for sure while we dial back Dwight and especially Javale's minutes but otherwise I agree and am pretty happy with it considering the uncertainty at the beginning of the bubble without Bradley. |

What I think we will see is Morris eating up some of the JaVale minutes for 2 reasons:
1. JaVale is struggling in the bubble
2. Many opponents are going to “force” the Lakers into small ball. So it’s either going to be Kieff or AD at the 5.
Thankfully Dwight is back to being Dwight so that helps the Lakers identity of protecting the paint with 2 bigs when they need it. |

Easy, just add sea monkeys to water, instant chemistry.

Playoff rotations I'm assuming are:
Javale (14) / Dwight (14) / AD (20)
AD (17) / Kuz (31)
LeBron (37) / KCP (11)
KCP (20) / Dion (22) / Danny (6)
Danny (22) / Caruso (26)
Spot minutes for Morris and Rondo when he comes back when necessary to lower Dion, KCP and Danny's minutes |

agree with Smith but Waiters should definitely be part of the rotation... he is head and shoulders the most capable offensive initiator we have when Lebron is off the court _________________ (bleep) Kawhi |

Depending on the game, expect 42-44 minutes out of LBJ and AD. _________________ Resident Car Nut.

I think Vogel is smart to hide his hand during these meaningless games. The team can work on chemistry and rotations in practice.
Dion is ballin and will get major minutes in the playoffs. He’s easily our best guard and that’s obvious. Especially in the first round against Portland. Make dame work on defense!!!!
JR and Morris will get plenty of burn against the clippers. Wear Kawhi down with different looks all game and then let bron finish him off in the 4th.
We have a veteran team that probably doesn’t need as much fine tuning as us fans may believe. Our biggest advantage right now is that we have a few new pieces that can change how we play. Opposing teams have no idea how we are planning to use them or how to defend it. That could buy us a game or two when it actually matters.
I honestly don’t know what teams are gonna do with a
AD
Kuzma
Lebron
JR
Dion
Lineup.
Who can you really help off of? Dion can seemingly get to the basket at will already. What can you do against him with all those weapons around him? Heck, what are you gonna do with Lebron? Nada.
I trust Vogel and the coaching staff. Let the end of the bench guys get some burn, And gain some confidence while working on a few things here and there. _________________ “like I never left”

JR has nothing left and should not play. Waiters can contribute. |
