AD asked out because he knew that the team was going nowhere with him as the focal point. He needs that alpha and NO couldn’t bring one in. Who knows what the Lakers will do with him post-Lebron.
Your flip flop tune is so hilarious. just two years ago you was praising him as a alpha dog when I was praising Cousins. lol now once he demanded a trade to the Lakers he became a mediocre star in your eyes When is Clippersground opening up?
No, I’ve been saying for several years that in today’s game, you don’t build your team around a big. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023.

VLF, that's not true about AD. He asked out because of the health condition of his son. Maybe you didn't read that but other players in other sports are doing the same. If you have a child with health issues, you don't take the chance. It has nothing to do with the Lakers and how far they go. That's just not true. I am pretty sure it was a tough decision but family health comes first....

You know what’s crazy? J.R. Smith is 13th ALL TIME for most three pointers made, ahead of Kobe, LeBron, and Klay Thompson. He’s only two spots behind Dirk.
AD asked out because he knew that the team was going nowhere with him as the focal point. He needs that alpha and NO couldn’t bring one in. Who knows what the Lakers will do with him post-Lebron.
I have no doubt that AD wanted more talent around him, but I doubt he shares your perception that he's not an "alpha." We're talking about a first-team all-NBA guy who finished 3rd in MVP voting.

ignorance is bliss
AD is 26; most people currently consider him about the 5th best player in the league; he's made $100 million so far in his career; and he's already a lock for the Hall of Fame.
I doubt he cares whether a couple of anonymous posters on the Internet think if he's an "alpha" or not.
A lot of Laker fans want the FO to cut JR and I don’t blame them, Los Angeles is one of the prominent Jewish communities in the world and we don’t need any of the anti BS.

He has overstayed his welcome. Get him out of here.

It’s really unfortunate I was so excited when we signed him, heck I have been shooting lights out with him on 2K but he totally crossed the line and deserves the criticism and the reality that the FO might not bring him back after this.
Will be interesting to see how the current cancel culture of intolerance and moral outrage deals with Desean, Stephen and now JR.
Why do I find myself skeptical of any serious "outrage" being expressed by mainstream or any meaningful consequences for any of them making/agreeing with racist comments.
Great job JR. Took you a whole week to screw up your opportunity of a lifetime.

I don't get the impression that many people are worked up over JR liking the video. It's a passive act, and it's gotten little attention. If anyone pressed him on it, it's pretty easy to explain a like away -- "I just liked my friend's video because he's my friend, but I didn't actually watch the whole thing" or whatever.

This is a big nothing.
JR should come out and apologize for upsetting the Jewish Laker fan base.

Personally, I don't care one way or the other what he does. He liked a video. There are more important things for me to think about.

It’s a look into his intelligence and decision making process. It makes it easier to understand how he screwed up with the Cavs in hi last Finals. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023.

It's a new world. You cannot ask people to respect your group's struggle, then crap on another group's struggle.
I know the "liking SJ's post that liked DSJ's post" seems a little too far removed, but that's the flip side of social media. You take the bad with the good.
At a minimum he needs to post a "no disrespect to Jewish people" apology. _________________ On Lakersground, a concern troll is someone who is a fan of another team, but pretends to be a Lakers fan with "concerns".
