There’s no arguing with Lebron haters...They’re the type who argue the earth is flat and we did not land on the moon...You can’t convince them type of people LOL.
Results meaning we are on top of the West atm with the best record. On pace to winning 60 games this season with our ticket to the playoffs where we have been absent the past 7 years. You gotta crawl before you walk
He should be among the leaders in minutes, as a top 5 player in the league who doesn't have a degenerative hip injury, or play in a conference where you get nights off on the schedule. The bottom 8 in the East are well below .500.
"Usage" is a misnomer, a player's usage goes up for making a bad pass even when standing still, or shooting a jumper from a triple threat position.
Bron isolates 4.7 times per game, that's one-third of what Harden does (Beard has his own tier). Since most of these isos end in jumpers, this stat doesn't indicate how much energy is being expended.
Similarly, not all drives use the same amount of energy, or put the same amount of strain on his body. Some of these drives are going downhill in transition, not from a stationary position. Also, he's #22 on the list in drives per game, not #15.
The reason you don't see many players his age with similar usage is, his playmaking contemporaries did not age well. CP3's had hamstring issues, DWill had multiple ankle surgeries, and Brandon Roy had no cartilage left in his knees after 2011.
15 if you consider players that have the exact same attempts per.
Dude is 35, in his 17th season, where multiple summers had him either going well into June via NBA Finals and/or Olympics...oh and dude came off a grade 2 tear last year. Then he aggravates the other side if his groin due to a compensatory load (pause).
You say his contemporaries didn’t age well. Maybe we could help with the process instead of loading up minutes on dude in MDA style fashion. If you want to bring up his contemporaries, maybe we should bring up the Mailman. Malone played 19 years and just twice didn’t play in 80+ games for the season. Dude delivered...but Sloan also made sure he wasn’t running dude crazy minutes especially after he took a spill at age 35.
Now consider Bron vs Malone: dude entered the pro circuit 4 years earlier bypassing college. Dude avgs for his career nearly 39mpg vs Malone’s 37mpg. Dude’s game isn’t just to be set up by Stockton...he scores and plays as the setup guy. Also Malone didn’t make multiple trips to the Finals like Bron did.
It’s absolutely irresponsible to our title hopes to keep playing dude like we are. We (bleep) up in only assisting him with Rondo over the summer. It’s reported now that we’re looking into bringing in more playmaking and point guard help. Well thank gawd the FO finally got the message.
Usage rate isn’t a good stat to look at to measure exertion. There are players with high usage rates that exert less energy than players with lower usage rates. Usage rate speaks more to volume than intensity.
DLo has the 8th highest USG rate this season. Can’t tell me he’s taking on the 8th most intense load and certainly not more than Joel Embiid who has a lower usage rate than him.

Both LeBron and AD are in the bottom 10 in average speed among rotation players. That's what I mean when I say you have to watch the games. LeBron's isos consist of him casually dribbling out the clock at a snail's pace and settling for a long shot. Harden makes a series of quick crossovers before either taking a tough stepback or driving hard to the rim, which is likely why he burns out at some point every year. Seriously, go to the gym and just do crossovers in place for 30 seconds and see how tiring that is. AD also knows how to play at a controlled pace. The only time I've really seen him to all out is on that chasedown attempt on Holiday where he ended up missing the dunk. Besides that he hardly breaks a sweat. LeBron does push it in transition however. _________________ It was reminiscent of one of those Most Interesting Man in the World advertisements: "I don't always shoot 6-for-28 from the field, but when I do, I become the youngest player in league history to score 28,000 career points."

Harden doesn't play defense though so he gets some rest on that end of the court

Kinda like I can’t tell you we run more iso than the cLips and other teams, right? Still can’t believe you tried to argue that haha.
Listen Bron sets the table for his teammates at a higher clip and more efficiently than his contemporaries. So dude is exerting himself on offense. Then on defense, he’s one of our better defenders and Vogel gave him the game ball recently stating how much dude talks and plays “safety” for us on the wing.
So he may not run the most or (according to you) his usage rate may not be the best stat to demonstrate his load...but he is putting up total minutes played this season at a rate that would make MDA envious and he’s in the MVP conversation due to how much our team stinks when dude takes a rare seat. So any argument undermining managing his load during the regular season, to me, is a load of crap.
Stu and Bill mentioned in the last broadcast hi he looked to the bench/Vogs to ask out of the Nets game.
And man listen, he may not run fast during games, but he still covers a whole lot of distance compared to the other guys that have also played in 43 or fewer games.

Feel pretty good about the fact he is doing what he is doing whilst having traveled less than low usage players like PJ Tucker, Rudy Gobert, Joe Harris, etc.
This is a good thing. Thanks for posting. _________________ Clippers are our Daddy.

Btw the distance covered vs speed part was more for @manlisten...I just try to play off his handle. I tend to do that sometimes. Kinda like I know you all about getting fitted for rings. So it’s probably in our best interest to make sure the King’s legs stay froggy when Spring time comes.

Yeah. Harden doesn’t do a lot of running around relative to his usage. _________________ Clippers are our Daddy.

Horrible ending to the game. I'm resigned to the fact that this is OLD LBJ we're getting. Championship has never looked more unsure.
Coach: Enough of the James iso ball! It was ugly in Cleveland, and it is three times uglier now.
There is something wrong with one of the tallest, most athletic players in the game standing in the corner waiting for the ball that never comes. _________________ Lakers fan since that Magical day June 25, 1979.
Actually I wish Lebron would shoot more corner 3's. I'm THAT desperate for a 3 point shooter and Lebron shoots them better from there than anywhere else this year
Very disappointing performance, hope he can bounce back and start taking over in crunch time instead of being an "turnover prone". He has the talent but is running out of 'killer mentality'. Praying that this is not what we are going to see during playoffs, otherwise we are doomed.
Congratulation for passing Kobe though, it's a hell of an achievement and it shows how impressive his career has been

Lebron and AD have actually been really good at corner 3's this year ...
Maybe I am expecting too much, but just so disappointed we keep losing to the top teams.
I wish to see something, ANYTHING, other than this tiresome James isoball. And to see 7 footer superstar Davis waiting in the corner. I know I asked this before, but how about trying James/Davis pick and roll. It cannot be worse than the static, horrible game we are playing. _________________ Lakers fan since that Magical day June 25, 1979.

I'm hoping our offensive system improves toward the playoff. Vogel says it needs a lot of work so I guess we'll see what it's like in the playoffs.
I just wish we had more 3 point shooting. When we shoot well we look great when we shoot poorly the other team just lays back and our offense stagnates.
I guess this is why the Lakers are paying Vogel. Let's see what he can do

Sadly he never had the killer mentality. Lebron style has always been more about facilitating which in turn makes him look passive in situations where he has to take over the game by scoring. His timing is off at when to do what in critical situations. _________________ "Bryant to Shaq"

What’s more alarming than his drop off in quickness is his decline in stamina. He used to go for chasedown blocks regularly in his prime.
All the not getting back on D possessions these days are the only way he can stay on the court majority of the game.
If he played with the effort on D most of us want to see...I think we’d have to keep him under 30 min a game in the regular season. 35 yr old Lebron just doesn’t have that motor anymore.
