Nah, talking about the overall balance in power. The best teams in the east look much stronger than the best teams in the west. _________________ God is a Lakers fan........usually. |

We will not go anywhere without lebron this season, he is our shot creator, we are still building the team, the salary cap is used up, and we couldn’t go over the cap. Next year will be better, but for this year, we need lebron |

Who looks much stronger outside of the bucks? Sixes? Raptors? Celtics? Come on. |

Pretty much sums it up -- rest up LBJ & maybe AD |

First real stretch of adversity. Let’s see how they handle Xmas.
Big picture, they just don’t have enough after LBJ/AD imo. 3 and after is simply not good enough. Need to add.
Other teams have won without one of their top 2 players, not just the clippers. We see it with Mavs, Raptors and others. Quality depth matters. |

It's obvious to all especially the front office. |

Because we're playing a better team.
But that's not the point, take a star out of almost any team and they're suddenly bad. The only reason the Mavs get away with it is because Doncic is a star but not on a star salary |
You are right about Luka's salary making things easier for Dallas, but AD is still lightyears better than Kristaps Porzingis. And some of the guys they're getting help from are cheap drafted talent, which is something we haven't managed well (lots of assets just given away)
An AD/Lebron tandem needed two major things, which identified before the trade even happened:
1. Shooting
2. Depth to withstand Lebron/AD absences
Rob addressed neither.
It might not seem like much now, but we're playing the "as long as they're healthy by playoffs" card. Why would they? What if they're pretty banged up and exhausted by the end of the season from having to carry such a weak team? |
Eh rob did get “shooters” to address shooting. Now whether they actually shoot after joining is another matter. Theyve been inconsistent and at times crap ill give you that. |

Problem is without AD & Lebron, we aren't good enough offensively and we aren't good enough defensively because Vogel feels forced to play his worst defenders in Cook and Rondo. |

The Bucks are the favorites though.
What happens if Giannis doesn't play? |

I think we got spoiled with the 24-3 start. If we said at start of year lakers would have 24 wins before 2020 i think alot of folks would be fine with that. Theyre in position to win more. |

To be fair, when you are used to go full speed with Bron and AD, you will see the imbalance created when one is gone. Just because the spread is different, it does not mean anything. Without AD or Bron, you'd likely get the same result. But if you wanna be fair, let the boys spend more full time and full speed with AD two or three more games.
Will the Lakers gamble say 3 more games without Bron to let those chickens little to grow bigger and stronger with AD? _________________ Kobe's Top 5 Dunks, 81 points, MJ last gm @Staples

I mean obviously can’t win a title, but they can still beat other teams without Giannis.
The Lakers don’t look like they can beat many teams without the big 2 both playing and in a 7 game series those guys have to be superhuman and that might not be enough if we don’t get another playmaker to help Lebron and the other guys are not hitting shots. |

When the team is really top heavy then the margin of error is much slimmer considering the likelihood of injuries. This year's supporting cast just isn't good enough when LBJ and AD miss games. We got away with it with Kobe and Shaq because they are durable, young players and the supporting cast was much stronger. _________________ God is a Lakers fan........usually. |

They got away with it because the game was in a slower pace, and Kobe can score whenever he feels like it. Lebron and AD don’t have that ability |

Ok, so without panicking here, how can the Lakers improve? Obviously can’t make any big deals, what kind of things would folks do here?
Beg Wade to come out of retirement as an example...lol |

They are certainly capable of winning against anyone with AD as the lone super star, tonight was just the outlier. It was the first time without LBJ, AD looked too timid at times. Trust me, a comfortable and relaxed AD sans LBJ still makes this team quite formidable. |

Denver is top 5 in the league, so with just AD, it is hard. He did his usual nice defense on joker and Murray, but when the Denver bench know down 3s, nothing you can do |
